Was yesterday the unofficial lingerie day?
While televisions everywhere blasted the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, Paris’ Grand Palais was taken over by Sonia Rykiel designs for H&M. Over-the-top doesn’t sufficiently describe the extravaganza that occurred. No expense was spared, from design to model casting to extras like glitter and fireworks. In addition to the runway show, a live stream of the boudoir captured computer screens, meaning the world was able to experience the party.

Lily Cole took the reins, opening the show while dressed in all black with a massive head of red curls, and leading a horse’s head into the throngs of fashion insiders. A model dance party followed Lily in a parade-like fashion. Girls danced on floats, swung from huge swings, spun around on a merry-go-round, and lounged about on decadent pillows, all while displaying the designers 70-plus piece collection. Prepare for the madness when it launches December 5 in 1,500 H&M stores.
