Alexander Wang gave the world something to talk about on Saturday in more ways than one. Just as we reported Friday, model/actress and current tabloid favorite, Liberty Ross, made a special return to the runway for the buzzed about spring collection. The votes are in, and it’s unanimous— Liberty killed it! Joined by other top models— namely Karmen Pedaru, Kati Nescher, Nadja Bender, Meghan Collison, Kasia Struss, Jourdan Dunn, Aymeline Valade, Sara Blomqvist, Ruby Aldridge, Zuzanna Bijoch, and Kinga Rajza — the brunette beauty stunned in simple white windbreaker and cutout skirt.
As a whole, Wang’s spring lineup remained fixated on producing undeniably cool, sporty chic offerings from a deconstructed point of view. The almost entirely black and white collection was done in sharp, geometric cuts, with expert detail given to slices that separated panels of medicinal looking white shirt dresses, molded tunics, and even leather jackets. With the use of invisible wire, Wang was able to create a floating effect with the pieces— see the secut sliced and diced sexy leather dress on Erin Wasson — as they made their way down the concrete runway. The futuristic style of urban cool wear culminated a finale like we’ve never seen before. Dressed in white versions of the looks that had already been shown, nine blonde models took to the stage where a black light turned them into glow-in-the-dark beauties. It goes without saying that Wang can expect glowing reviews for spring!
