If we could use only one word to describe last night’s buzzed about Versace SoHo party, it would be “leather!”
Supermodels Karolina Kurkova, Bar Refaeli, and Linda Evangelista joined Donatella Versace and a host of stylish A-listers—Lady Gaga and Kanye West included— to fete the opening of the designer’s new NYC boutique in what appeared to be an never ending stream of all black leather ensembles— it was a Versace party after all!
Holding court at the Waldorf Towers’ Royal Suite, Bar showed of her gorgeous gams in a sleek mini dress and patent jacket, which she paired with ankle booties and matching leather clutch, Karolina put the emphasis on her waist by accessorizing her stamped rosette frock with a sporty belt and stilettos. Linda also stuck with head-to-toe black for the event, but took more of a Gothic approach to the look with a buttoned-up velvet jacket adorned with crystal cross details and thigh-high leather boots. Victoria’s Secret Angel Doutzen Kroes also donned one of our favorite looks from the evening— a black flared skirt coat covered entirely in Swarovski crystals!
While black was certainly the color on everyone’s mind, it wasn’t the only hue in attendance. Hanne Gaby Odiele slipped into a purple number, while Chanel’s #1 woman, Stella Tennant, went with a black and white long-sleeve printed dress pulled from the Fall runway.
