In 2008, shortly after the show season, Daria Werbowy announced to her agent that she was taking time off from modeling and just like that, the Canadian beauty all but disappeared from the fashion scene. It’s taken her some time to resurface, but now, nearly 5 years later, it’s never been clearer: Daria is not only back, but she’s also in the midst of a major model moment!
With 10 top-notch campaigns and over 8 major glossy covers under her belt so far this year, it appears that Daria is now as popular as ever, fronting campaigns for arguably some of fashion’s most sought-after labels including Diane von Furstenberg, Isabel Marant, Celine and Salvatore Ferragamo among others. And let us not forget the super’s ongoing campaign with Lancôme—a brand she has been a part of since 2004, and one that previously helped land on Forbes list of the word’s top 10 highest-paid models of 2010!
As for her cover work, well, one only needs to take note of her latest September covers for the proof of her growing popularity. In addition to reclaiming her spot on the cover of both Vogue UK and Harper’s Bazaar Germany this month, Daria is also among one of the 8 stunning supermodels to front Interview Magazine’s ‘Model Issue’—a cover that officially put her among the ranks of fellow cover girls Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, Christy Turlington and Linda Evangelista. And with two covers already lined up for October— she fronts both her native Fashion Magazine and Vogue Russia— it appears that Daria still has a lot in store for us this season— fingers crossed it involves a return to the runway!
While we wait to see what Daria has in store for us next, check out the supermodel’s full collection of 2013 covers and campaigns below:
