In true Interview magazine form, the glossy put a designer and model together to discuss anything and everything. For the newest issue, Marc Jacobs called Lara Stone while she was working in St. Barts to discuss her engagement, Carine Roitfeld, and being in the public eye.
Here are a few notes on tidbits we learned from the interview with Lara:
- Riccardo Tisci will design her wedding gown
- Designers talk to models about other designers
- Lara and Sasha Pivovarova feel as though they only know a few other models
- Unsurprisingly the model counts Carine Roitfeld as her fashion mentor
- Her biggest phobia is flying, and she has an addiction to chocolate milkshakes
And because her honesty here is just too good to change, Lara responds with this answer when Marc asks about her on-set performance:
“I think I do become someone else. In real life, I’m very shy, but people think I’m this angry, sexy kind of… god knows what they think! And there I am in front of them, nervous and blushing and stuttering and whatnot. So I’m definitely not the person you see in pictures. I mean, in pictures, you look like something you’re not.”
