As many of you already know, this past week was a big one for Girls— HBO’s Girls that is!  On top of seeing the highly-anticipated premiere of the show’s second season— our office still can’t stop talking about it! — writer, producer and all-around cool girl Lena Dunham also took home two Golden Globe Awards for Best TV Comedy and Best Actress in a Comedy, rounding out a pretty stellar week if we do say so ourselves.  Now thanks to Ms. Dunham, we’ve all become a bit obsessed with the whole Brooklyn scene, reminding us of a few other Brooklyn gals who know a thing or two about living it up in the BK.

Catbird: 219 Bedford Avenue

Located smack dab in the middle of Brooklyn’s young and trendy Williamsburg area, Catbird is the go-to shop for the most unique jewelry and accessories finds including everything from glassware, candles and art to old fashioned toys and playing cards.  Specializing in local designers, as well as well-known international brands, this quaint shop is the perfect place to unearth an ever changing array of artisan goodies.  And don’t take just our word for it.  Top models Abbey Lee KershawFreja Beha Erichsen and Izabel Goulart have all paid a visit to the boutique.

Amarcord Vintage Fashion: 223 Bedford Avenue

Following the success of its first retail store in Manhattan’s East Village, Amarcord brought its upscale vintage wares to Brooklyn, opening its treasure-filled doors in the heart of Williamsburg.  Everyone from Erin Wasson and Mariacarla Boscono to Carolyn Murphy and Iman have popped by the expertly curated shop to sift through the showroom’s trendy archive consisting of more than 50,000 swoon-worthy pieces picked up from around the world.

Bird: 203 Grand Street

Chances are you’re probably already familiar with Bird and its standout collection of top designer pieces including A.P.C, Girl by Band of Outsiders, Isabel Marant, Suno and Vena Cava to name but a few.  And while Alexa Chung isn’t exactly a model— although her gorgeous campaign for Maje is not to be missed— her exquisite sartorial flair pretty much speaks for itself, so we just had to include her in our hotspot roundup!  Alexa is fan of the quirky Willamsburg fashion destination, so naturally many have followed in her footsteps, stopping by the LEED-certified store to pick up the very best in contemporary fashion and design.

Shen Beauty: 315 Court Street

Located in Cobble Hill, Shen beauty offers an ever-expanding range of hard to find, niche brands including Kate Logan, LAFACE and Mitchell & Peach.  On top of discovering your new favorite organic moisturizer and picking up a coveted Mason Pearson brush, you can feel rest assured that each product is a true beauty winner tried and tested by store owners Jessica Richards and Jules Stringer.  And if that’s not enough, Modelinia favorite Jessica Stam and red carpet stars Solange Knowles and Michelle Williams can all vouch for the cult beauty shop.

Marlow & Sons: 81 Broadway

After all of that shopping, you’re going to want to treat yourself to a good meal, and there’s no better place than Marlow & Sons!  This neighborhood institution is the go-to spot for simple, yet expertly crafted New American fare.  Top models Eniko Mihalik and Raquel Zimmermann have both been spotted taking in the establishment’s scrumptious offerings, making this the perfect after-hours hangout for you and the girls. And feel free to keep the party going by making a stop next door at Diner for seasonal entrees and desserts that are sure to have you coming back for seconds!

Roberta’s: 261 Moore Street

This famous pizzeria is another time-tested favorite among Brooklynites, most notably of the bunch being Crystal Renn.  Located further into Bushwick, this industrial-hip locale serves up some of the best wood-fired pizzas around, not to mention a standout selection of rustic Italian dishes that could rival your grandmother’s!

Mesa Coyoacan: 372 Graham Avenue

In the mood for authentic Mexican?  Look no further than Mesa Coyoacan— Williamsburg’s premiere cocina mexicana.  With it’s rustic, long communal tables and penchant for authentic, organic Mexican cusine, Mesa Coyoacan offers a beautiful culinary experience for those— Crystal Renn among them— looking for some of the city’s best Chiles en Nogada and Mixiote de Carnero.

Wythe Hotel: 80 Wythe Avenue
