We know it’s Friday and all, but trust us when we tell you to clear your schedule for tonight and make some room on the couch! Project Runway is back on the scene tonight, and Heidi Klum is kicking it up a notch for the show’s 10th anniversary by turning Times Square into the stiletto stomping ground for its first ever ‘Live’ runway show!
Joined by everyone’s favorite mentor Tim Gunn, and judges Michael Kors and Nina Garcia, Heidi- who our insiders confirmed will be wearing a green Thomas Wylde dress- will present the newest crop of 16 hopeful designers from across the nation as their fresh creations make their way down the runway set under the lights of one of New York’s most iconic landmarks.
“This episode of Project Runway has been a dream of mine for many years,” says Heidi. “I fought and fought to have a live runway show in Times Square, so its very exciting that my dream is finally coming true! What a great way to start season 10 with all the energy of a live audience in Times Square.”

If that wasn’t excitement enough, the German mogul also has a few other tricks up her sleeve for the milestone season. The rumors have been confirmed that Patricia Field and Lauren Graham will jump on as guest judges when the season kicks into full gear. Both Field and Graham-whose credentials include being the daughter of a fashion buyer- will help the veteran judges decide which designer will make it to New York Fashion Week at Lincoln Center and win the $100,000 prize funded by L’Oreal Paris to jump-start a fashion line.
As with season’s past, the budding designers will also get the chance to work with some of the fashion industries biggest modeling agencies, and our insiders gave us the scoop that tonight’s show will be sure to dazzle. Agencies such as Wilhelmina, Next Model Management, and Muse NYC will be providing some stunning young girls to strut the catwalk before that first “auf Wiedersehen!”
The season premiere live Project Runway fashion show will be bringing the stylish set to the northern triangle that boards Broadway and Seventh Avenue at 8:30 pm. For those of you not in the New York area- or unwilling to deal with the stress of traffic- season 10 of Project Runway will premiere on Thursday, July, 19th at 9 pm on Lifetime.
