As excited as we are for Fashion’s Night Out on September 10, the anxiety of covering it is starting to get to us.
With over 700 stores participating, it’ll be more than a marathon to stop into all the different locations that are so very enticing. There are the cocktails that will be made by the Olsen twins at Barneys, Hamish Bowles on the piano at Juicy Couture, plus the Chanel manicures. But there’s oh so much more. Already we’re planning a few of our desired stops, though without a doubt more will be added onto the ever-growing list.
Iconic works from Annie Leibovitz and Steven Klein will be on display at Bergdorf Goodman; Sasha Pivovarova will show off her art for “The New and the Next Gallery” at Henri Bendel; Harley Viera Newton will DJ at Intermix and Tom Binns; Hana Soukupova, Chanel Iman, and Jessica Joffe are set to play models turned stylists at Versace, actually dressing models who will show off the season’s designs; Lily Donaldson will perform at Burberry; Coco Rocha will give everyone a taste of her music skills at DKNY from 9-11 PM; Margherita Missoni is not only hosting a party at the boutique, but she’s offering up her own style advice as well; and Elettra Wiedemann invites guests to join the waiting list for Chris Benz’s new lipstick.
Plus, want your own photo shoot? JCPenney not only has Cindy Crawford coming to show off her new line of home goods, but the store has also arranged for a photographer to capture guests against Cindy’s designs. Or head to Henri Bendel where Gossip Girl costume designer Eric Daman will style you in accessories for a snap. And while there are no listed models, Rag & Bone is turning their store into an Irish pub, complete with sawdust and beer. We’re sure some of their favorite girls will show up…as will Modelinia!
