Mariacarla Boscono makes the perfect beauty model for the NARS 2011 Holiday Collection campaign. Her perfect porcelain skin is highlighted by the new colors created by François NARS himself, including the fun and festive Arabian Nights trio that includes black with red pearls, black with purple pearls and black with gunmetal shimmer shadow.
Our favorite piece of the holiday collection is the limited edition Hanamichi Eyeshadow Palette—NARS’ interpretation of the dramatic kabuki eye that includes richly saturated hues for highlighting, shading and lining the eye. Even the hand-spun wisteria-wrapped kabuki eye brush and encased in an elegant pouch is special!
Hanamichi means “flower path” and specifically refers to an extra path on a Kabuki stage that extends into the audience. The icy white, gold, matte black and deep rose shades are colors traditional found in Japanese theater.
Of course we know that NARS products are always high quality, but we just can’t get over how gorgeous this palette is. We almost don’t want to dip the brush in and ruin the perfectly placed powder.
The palette sells for for $65 at NARS.com
