Mary Alice Stephenson has the dream job. Not only does she work with models on photo shoots, but she also preps them for red carpets and parties, and gets to hang out with the beauties and designers at parties throughout the year.
So it goes without saying that she harbors a crush or two, depending on the day.
A longtime crush is on Hilary Rhoda, who she regularly dresses, as well as Doutzen Kroes, who the stylist has worked with previously. But as of late, it’s all about Arlenis Sosa. “I love Arlenis, I think she’s fantastic!”
And just because she’s worked with these girls in the past certainly does not mean her love ended there. For Mary Alice, Doutzen is a prime example. “She’s such a big star, but I would love to take it to the next level with what she wears.”
Right now she’s also crushing on Amber Valletta. “I love and admire what Amber wears,” says Mary Alice. “I think most of the supermodels have been doing it for so long, but you would always love to work with the greats like Linda, and also, it’s so fun to work with people who know style, know the designers. With models you find that so much more than with stars. It’s not about how they want to look, it’s how they can look their best and letting go of your image of yourself so you can look the best.”
