In addition to our behind-the-scenes videos, blog coverage of the fashion shows and parties, as well as our unending Twitter updates, we’re coming into your home by way of Modelinia Fashion Week TV on NY25!
On the eve of Fashion Week, we hosted a soiree at the Bryant Park Hotel to officially announce our brand-new television show with many esteemed guests, including Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who showed his true love for the fashion industry! “Fashion Week is really the time to remind the world that New York City is the fashion capital and that our style is second to none,” he said. “We have a much bigger fashion industry than Paris, something that a lot of people don’t appreciate. This will be our last year with Fashion Week at Bryant Park. It has been a great run, and I’m sure there are those in the industry who are already feeling nostalgic, but fashion is all about looking forward to the next big idea, the next collection. I guarantee you that next Fashion Week at Lincoln Center will be one to remember. No matter where the Tents are we want all New Yorkers to have a front-row seat, and that’s why NYC Media has formed a partnership with Modelinia. This is just the beginning of what we hope will be a long-term partnership to give New Yorkers an inside look at one of our city’s signature industries.”
At his side were our two model hosts, Coco Rocha and Veronica Webb, who will be your leaders through the craziness of Fashion Week. “You really get to share more and teach more and peek very intimately into the world of fashion in a way you can’t on the runway or a magazine,” said Veronica of her role during the eight days of style. As for Coco, she was reveling in her new magazine cover. Yes, that’s right—we’ve launched a magazine this week as well!
