But just where she practices her martial art is another story.
Meet Yao Li. He’s a 52-year-old teacher with a dojo in Boston on Boylston Street. And every day that Gisele is in the city, she has private lessons with the master. A friend recommended the teacher, and she’s been studying there ever since.
“It’s like a moving meditation,” she said. “It is very important to have the right teacher, and Yao is a great teacher. He is very aware so he can feel what each of his students needs are. And then he teaches accordingly.”
She’s not the only notable studying under Yao, though for now she appears to be the only model. That, however, could change very quickly.
