Chrissy Teigen, Halle Berry, Coco Rocha and Olivia Wilde all turn to Reem Acra when it comes to selecting a gown for a special event. And it’s this kind of following that makes her show one of the most anticipated at the tents.
Of course her dresses are beautiful, but this season she chose to mix beauty with power. Wearing two of the looks that represent the versatility of the collection, Ming Xi first displayed a suit of metallic tweed. She walked swiftly on the gleaming red runway (one that no one was allowed to walk on as they entered the show—a near impossible task.)
No doubt coached backstage by Reem herself, the girls walked as strongly as possible in the way that a woman ready to take on the world would poise herself.
Later in the show we were treated to the usual beautiful gowns—one of which will surely be snatched up for the Oscars. Ming’s second look was a high necked gown that showed an amazing variety of texture using what looked like gold lame and a woody print.
