Fresh off a Hamilton Island escape with the family, Aussie supermodel Miranda Kerr sashayed down the catwalk for the David Jones Spring/Summer 2012-2013 fashion show. After opening the show in a flowy silk caftan by designer Lisa Ho, Miranda led the pack of 54 models including swimsuit model Jessica Gomes, in a handful of looks by native brands. Aside from a dazzling one shoulder red gown, and a floral printed frock— a staple in Miranda’s closet this summer— the always stylish Miranda also strutted her stuff in a white cutout swimsuit by Carla Zampatti, complete with a long, sheer cover up and nude pumps.
When asked about her amazing beach bod, the Victoria’s Secret beauty gave the credit to her Pilates and yoga routine.
“It does actually take a lot of work,” Miranda told the Sydney Morning Herald. “Especially now since the baby — a lot more squats. I’ve got a new trainer and he’s really kicking my butt. I’ve naturally got quite little arms, so he’s been making me do push-ups just to get strength. I’ve been really working hard.”
The top model also expressed her love of Aussie designers, adding, “I believe that Australians and Australian designers know how to make clothes that are wearable. In Australia, we like clothes that are wearable. They’re not too over the top. They’re quite practical. We can move in them — that’s what I personally love. That’s what people say they love about my style. As Australians, we have that practicality.”
