Everyone is obsessing over the fact that Miranda Kerr is doing so much editorial work right now, but it’s kind of important to realize that she actually began her career in editorial.
Sure, as of late she’s spent copious amounts of time with Victoria’s Secret since she’s one of their Angels, but it seems that many have forgotten that her origins were, in fact, as a runway and editorial model.
Miranda was discovered when she won a modeling competition held by Australian magazine Dolly; she’s graced its cover and appeared in editorials for the glossy many times, not to mention Italian Glamour, Elle Mexico, as well as British Harper’s Bazaar. Plus she’s walked in runways for designers like Rock & Republic, Betsey Johnson, Jason Wu, Tracy Reese, threeASFOUR, and Trovata over the years.
Recently, she stunned by appearing in the Balenciaga runway show in Paris, leaving many to question if that was actually her before verification came through.
That being said, here’s her latest work: the December 2009 cover of Australian Harper’s Bazaar, shot by Simon Lekias, and the November ’09 cover of Chicago Social—both of which she’s giving us just a single-eyed stare amidst her gorgeous locks.
