Model Zen at Ports 1961

It is the season for short cuts. Though Tao Okamoto has been showing of her adorable bowl cut for some time now, Ports 1961 designer Tia Cibani fell in love with Tao’s look and had her open yesterday’s show, which was heavily Asian-influenced. From the Zen garden background to the artistic embellishments on the designs, models looked light, airy, and fresh. But that wasn’t the only model moment. Instead of the typical one model opening, Tao appeared alongside Daniela Kocianova for the opening looks, walking in unison down the split runway. Right before Bruna Tenorio took the closing walk, the lights dimmed and a spotlight found her, making her the focus of attention, and rightfully so, for the last runway turn.
