Model, mom, actress - Julie Ordon juggles many a role, but does so with ease and grace that is oh, so enviable. Fresh from her appearance at the premiere of Henry’s Crime, celebrating her role in the movie, Modelinia sat down with Julie to discuss the juxtaposition of acting and modeling, as well as the precious moments she’s spending with her daughter, Mathilda.
What has been your most memorable moment in modeling so far?
I’m grateful for all the moments, but it was working for Chanel for the campaign for the lipstick ROUGE; they made me feel, and think like a star, a princess!
How would you describe your personal style?
My style is what we call “bobo chic”, a bit “Frenchie,” but with an edge. I’m a Chanel and Louboutin fan - but always mixing with street wear - and approachable easy pieces.
Henry’s Crime isn’t your first foray in to the acting world, but what did this film teach you about the art?
To be patient (even more than in the modeling industry) and I also realized the importance of improvisation - Improvisation is big part of acting. All actors do, including the big ones! And last lesson… in my specific case: breast-feeding when you are wearing a corset - not a very practical idea!
What are you looking forward to in regards to continuing to act?
Acting is definitely going to become a priority to me. I want different roles, different characters, and the chance to work with interesting directors. One of my dreams is to work with Sofia Coppola, she is so feminine. Also with the director of the movie, The Professional, Luc Besson. And I have to admit - I want to act in a movie with Tom Hardy.

Your daughter is so precious! What has surprised you the most about motherhood?
I think it is the feeling of having Mathilda in my arms. Every moment has been memorable ever since. The first noise, the first cry, the first time she slept an entire night :)
What are three things you’d still like to accomplish in life?
My three New Year Resolutions were:
- Get highly involved in a charitable program involving kids in Africa (most likely)
- Land on the cover of French Vogue
- Make my family happy
What’s something that no one else knows about you?
Hahaha - yes cracking my back is one of my secret pleasures. It’s weird!
