Today I had the pleasure of experiencing my very first fashion show from the audience, sitting front row for the Bebe spring 2012 collection.
I really loved the collection and found myself planning my next Bebe shopping trip. The line was bright and white, and the models were perfectly complemented with huge, curly, white-blonde wigs. As I got sucked into watching the models strutting down the runway, I was surprised to see a face that I recognized: Cintia Dicker! Disguised by her blonde fro, I could barely tell it was Cintia without her signature red locks.
One of the things I especially loved was that most of the outfits were flowy, sheer dresses. The looks are definitely perfect for summer, though it made me realize I’ll need to personally invest in a few slips to carry off these looks (or I’d pair them with a colorful bikini underneath!). Along with the collection, I also loved that the models defied the runway stereotype and looked glowing and healthy—and with killer legs! I can definitely see myself in a few key pieces from the collection next summer, especially back home in Latin America at a nice cocktail party or lounging poolside. ~ Jessica Perez
