As everyone knows, here at Modelinia we are absolutely obsessed with models, and when we get the chance to spotlight some fresh faces like the adorable and voracious Kel Markey, we are over the moon! This Gainesville, Florida native made her first on-screen appearance in the well-known movie Dazed & Confused. Her freshman year of college lead her to NYU, where she has since juggled the catwalk and classes. She has walked the runway for Louis Vuitton, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Marni, Dior and Vanessa Bruno, to name a few. She was named one of the most popular walkers during Paris Fashion Week as she either opened or closed six shows. Check out the exclusive interview with one of our new favorites, after the jump!
What were your best/worst subjects in school?
Best was Math, worst was French.
What was your first show and what was that experience like?
My first show was years ago and it was this small brand called “Line.” It was incredibly thrilling and intimidating at the same time and if I recall correctly the catering was 3 boxes of pizza.
What would you consider your big break?
Tough question- maybe the Prada or Proenza Schouler show from last season.
If you weren’t modeling, what would you choose as your profession?
What are some of your favorite places you have traveled for modeling?
Haha- rural Wisconsin was pretty hilarious and surprisingly beautiful. Hong Kong was also an incredibly interesting city.
What is your go-to beauty product?
Tinted moisturizer is about the only thing I use. Or, if my skin or the bags under my eyes are particulary bad, those amazing YSL concealer sticks.
What is the most random thing in your purse?
What item of clothing can you not live without?
Baggy (I think the correct term might be “boyfriend”?) jeans.
What is your favorite guilty pleasure food?
Rapid Fire! Pick one of each…
Heels or flats? Flats.
Justin Bieber or One Direction? Can I choose N Sync?
Take out or a Fancy restaurant? Fancy restaurant.
TV night in or out on town? Movie night in!
