May is our History of Models month, and we’re honoring the gorgeous ladies in many ways. To begin, there’s our History of Models Timeline, which spans the 1930s to today, examining key points in models lives, as well as fashion and pop culture trends that helped to shape the industry. Each timeline point opens to a full image with a description of the event, meaning model enthusiasts could conceivably spend hours scouring the site for facts and information. Though the timeline is divided by year, the bottom highlights the changes in the industry over the years, describing the variety of models from the Society Girls of the ’30s to the Waif look that arose in the ’90s, and the overlap.
