New York Costumes was packed wall-to-wall yesterday as Halloween procrastinators shuffled through, snatching up opera masks, glittery tights, and disco sticks for that perfect Lady Gaga. While trying on prop glasses, Modelinia spotted the eternally cool Lily Donaldson standing in line, chatting with an equally leggy lady friend. The wave of anxious shoppers washed us to the back of the store before we got a chance to ask her about her costume, but we did spot a rather sinister-looking stuffed raven. Could she be taking inspiration from the 2007 Fashion Rocks editorial ”In My Tribe” she was featured in, shot by Steven Meisel?
Then on our way out we passed Chanel Iman holding hands with her boyfriend on Broadway. The two seemed happy in each other’s company, so we let the lovebirds be and rushed home to get our costumes primed for Saturday.
