Models' 2010 Holiday Plans

When it comes to the holiday season, plans range from cozy days in front of the fireplace to excursions to tropical locations. But while everyone’s vacation destinations may differ, one thing remains the same - the holiday season is full of family, friends, and celebration of the season. What are a few of your favorite models planning for a bit of winter cheer?

Maryna Linchuk “I’m going to Brazil with my boyfriend. I was gonna go to cold weather, but then we decided to go to Brazil!”
Brooklyn Decker “I plan on putting my feet up and not doing a damn thing for two weeks! 2010 has been a rewarding, fulfilling year and its about time I enjoy it at home in North Carolina.”
Michelle Alves “This holiday season I’m going to the West French Indies with my family. We have been going there for the past couple of years. We wake up early, have breakfast and go to the beach. We have lunch out then either a good nap or we go see some friends. Then we go home have a yummy dinner and watch a movie. One of my favorite things there is the sky at sunset. It looks like an impressionist canvas. With its pinks and oranges and yellows, it is pretty magical. I can’t wait to go back there again!”
Lisalla Montenegro “In Brazil, it is very important to be with family for the holidays so I’m planning to go back to Brazil to be with my family – the most important thing in my life! For Christmas I’m planning to go to Rio de Janeiro and I will spend New Years in Salvador, Bahia!”
Molly Sims “I will be in Miami with my family. My brother has a baby so we decided to have Christmas there every year until I have children of my own. My favorite part of Christmas and the holiday season is being with my family and friends. My mom and I always make red velvet cake and Christmas cookies and she always ends up yelling at me when I make the cake wrong.”
Gwen Lu “I’m going to spend Christmas and New Years in Athens, Greece; with my boyfriend, his family, and friends. I’m also planning a vacation for my parents who are now living in Malaysia to Spain, so I could meet up with them there; I have not seen them for more than a year now.”
Kelly Kopen “My boyfriend and I are going back to my place in South Carolina and then back to New York on the 29th for a traditional NYC celebration!”
Daniela Lopes “For Christmas our families from Brazil are flying over to stay with my husband and I. We are planning to go upstate New York to ski and enjoy the best of the winter in the mountains! I will, of course, also take them on a shopping spree. After all, what’s New York at Christmastime without some shopping?”
Tamiris Freitas “I will be going home for Christmas and then to some secluded island in the Caribbean for New Year’s Eve to be able to recharge my batteries!”
Kelsey Close “This year I’ll be staying in the city with my boyfriend for Christmas. I’ll be baking tons of pies, cookies, and bread for my loved ones. If you need me I’ll most likely be holed up in my apartment with Christmas music blaring and flour all over the house.”
Nicole Trufio “I’m going to be in Australia, back in the bush! Back to my roots! Last year we went to New Zealand but this year we are bringing it home for some beach, sun, BBQ’s, and most importantly dirt biking. I can’t wait for an Aussie Christmas”
Flavia Lucini “At Christmas I always go back home, where I grew up in Brazil. On the morning of the 24th we take food and chocolate to the poor children in the town. At night, after going to the church, we celebrate together with a great Christmas dinner & a big delicious turkey. The best thing about Christmas is seeing my whole family, happy, with peace & love in our hearts.”
Emanuela de Paula “I’m going to Brazil, going home to see my family. I miss them so much. My Grandmother calls me up, like, ‘Where are you, I miss you so much!’ So, I’m going to be there for Christmas and New Years.”
Genevieve Morton “I’m beginning to make my Christmas tree decorations early and planning a pre-Christmas party with my friends. Then on Christmas day I’m flying home to see my Dad and Stepmom and we are having Christmas dinner, which I’m gonna cook (multiple courses!). On the 26th we’re going down the coast to the seaside town I grew up in for 2 days! It’s summer in South Africa, so I’m going to tan and have sangria on the beach. :)”
Lovani Pinnow “For Christmas, I am going to my hometown in Brazil to spend time with my family, who I miss so much & can’t wait to see!”
Lily Aldridge “On Christmas Eve I always get a new pair of pj’s! This year I have my eye on the Victoria’s Secret Dreamer flannel set!!! I love a set of Christmas pj’s. :)”
Christine “Chrissy” Teigen “Christmas is my family time so we [John Legend & I] fly to Thailand around the 20th of December. The thing I am most looking forward to is staying at the Four Seasons tented camp in Northern Thailand. Tree houses and elephant washing in the river! It’s amazing there, one of my favorite places in the world… Then just the two of us in Tokyo for New Years! Should be interesting, my first time!”
Fabiana Semprebom “I’m going to spend Christmas with my family and for New Years I’ll be in Miami with all his [boyfriend Guillermo Canas] friends.”

Dominique Piek “I will be heading over to South Africa for Christmas and New Years to be with my family and friends who I have not seen in AGES So I am really excited about that… :) While in South Africa I plan to lay on the beach as much as possible so that I can come back to the cold NYC winter with a killer tan and a smile!”
