According to Christophe Lemaire, it’s all about solids. A parade of beige and gray opened the Fall Lacoste collection, and we fell in love with Constance Jablonski’s look—it was clear that the model was smitten too. But what started out in a neutral palette quickly turned to fun yet sophisticated looks that seemed to burst from the sunshine-colored backdrop.
Models were sent down the runway in layered looks, warming the chill that lingered in the air from the colder climes outside the Tents. Bright colored gloves peeped out of the sleeves of blazers. Lakshmi Menon braved freezing temps in shorts, but not without her leggings, while Anais Pouliot layered up her dresses. Sophie Srej’s black ensemble was highlighted with a coral collar and her slouched ribbed tights will definitely be making their way into our wardrobe rotation.
Liu Wen was adorable in her shrunken beret, while golf caps as worn by Jacquelyn Jablonski and Rose Cordero got a makeover—you’ll be sure to be seeing this look popular among the hipster set.
