If you can’t get enough of model photographs, then head to Milk Studios to check out Sante D’Orazio’s new exhibit, “Barely Private.” It pairs with his brand-new book, featuring page after page of models, models, and more models. The photographer extraordinaire invited guests to the gallery to preview the exhibit last night, which will be open to the public from December 8, 2009, until January 5, 2010. “My memories go back to the ’80s,” said Sante, struggling to find a favorite moment in his vast experiences. “I grew up with Christy, Naomi, and Stephanie, Cindy and those girls. I knew them before they were supermodels. Those were the girls I have the best memories, in terms of fashion and model worlds.” After spending years capturing images of some of the world’s greatest beauties, just how do you proceed? “My wish list is that I want to go for a month to Rome and do portraits of all of the cardinals.” While he’s traipsing through Italy and hopefully snapping a few more models in between papal figures, snag his new book for your coffee table.
