Hey, Models of the Runway fans. This week Brittany is back to give you all the deets from last night’s episode!
This week’s challenge was for the designers to create a signature dress for the Campbell’s Red Heart Association event. And I can’t stress how AMAZING it was!
This was a very different, yet extraordinary challenge for the designers because they got to work with real women who are not the standard size 0 or 2 model, which is what real life caters to—as a designer they won’t always be designing for models. And the folks at Project Runway could not have chosen a more amazing group of women either for this challenge. I fell in love with all of them!
Jesus (my designer) unfortunately was eliminated this week. I was pretty bummed out. I had a really fun time working with him, and he is truly a wonderful, talented person. Do I personally think his outfit was bad? No. I would definitely wear it. In fact, can I have it?
On a positive note, Amy was the winner this week! And honestly who could really say anything awful about that gorgeous dress? I wanted to take it off the rack and run away with it!
But this week was rough! We had to actually work out! But I was super excited to “Get Kirsched!” He IS the man! We got to work out with our partners from the challenge and even had the chance to sit down and talk to them and hear their stories. My favorite part, though, was getting to show them how to walk the runway! We were all there once, that point in our careers where we had no idea what we were doing on the runway, so it was nice to get the chance to help someone else and pass along what we’ve learned, just as others had done for us.
It was a truly rewarding experience to work with the women. They are all wonderful, beautiful souls, and I am so happy to have had the opportunity to have met all of them.
Drama drama drama! Alexis! Alexis! Alexis! She sure does know how to play the game, though. Next week looks like it will be a rough one—even I am involved in the shenanigans!
What will happen? We shall see!
