Models of the Runway fans, we have a treat for you this season! We have not one, but three model bloggers, so we’ll be switching it up week to week to provide you with their personal stories and memories from the show! This week we have not only Brandise and her supermodel cat but also Lorena Angjeli!
This week the designers were in for a challenge. They were assigned by Michael Kors to create an unconventional look made out of materials that you would find in a hardware store. They also had to create an accessory, plus each designer had to use a pair of Michael Kors simple black pumps, which they were told they were allowed to modify.
Some designers struggled a bit - Emilio initially wanted to make a dress but as he was halfway done when he realized he didn’t have enough washers to complete the look. He then decided to make a bathing suit. I remember Holly was nervous at first but she looked amazing in it and worked it! Mya, who was my designer for this challenge, created an amazing jacket and overall look. No wonder she was in the top three! Her accessory was an amazing key necklace which I loved! I felt like my look was definitely something wearable and high fashion. Mila also had an interesting look, as she used paint trays and color blocking. Jesse, on the other hand, struggled with his look. The material he bought for the bottom half of his dress was adhesive, which made it hard for him to construct and overall handle the material. In the end Jesse was out because the judges believed that he look was the weakest on the runway. Jay was the winner, since he not only used an unconventional material and made it wearable fashion, but he used garbage bag material which was tricky. It had been attempted by other designer in previous season and executed horribly.
Big surprise this week! We were told by Heidi that we can take a load off and relax because she had planned a pool party for us! All the girls were very excited especially after this challenge we needed a break. We all had such a nice time, relaxing, sun bathing, and just forgetting about the competition for a little bit. Thank you Heidi! Alexis was definitely aware at this time that all the girls in the house were not too fond of her. So Allison was trying to let Alexis know that the other girls don’t like the way she acts around them but Alexis still felt that she had to continue her game plan. In the end Alexis was eliminated, it was definitely quiet in the apartment after she left. Brittany was the winning model! Go Brittany! You worked your look like there was no tomorrow and you looked great doing it!
