Models of the Runway Updates from Brandise and Her Supermodel Cat

Models of the Runway fans, we have a treat for you this season! We have not one, but three model bloggers, so we’ll be switching it up week to week to provide you with their personal stories and memories from the show! Last week you met Brittany, and this week meet Brandise and her supermodel cat!

It’s 0500 and I must first give my dear supermodel cat Chairman Meow Jr. a huge shout out for waking me up. He’s not only a supermodel in cat’s clothing, but a damn fine alarm clock at that. He says meow and asks you all to please campaign for an all-star all-animal Project Runway segment. He said he would host, and even remember to blog (on time), which is more than his mum can say.

For this week’s episode we got to go to a farm. How awesome! Fury little sheep and all. Bahh bahh, moo, gobble gobble… Why didn’t the black sheep get any airtime?

The challenge this week was to make a party-appropriate look out of potato sacks, but they decided to throw in a big twist: The models got to pick their designers and we actually got to act as clients and tell the designers what sort of look we wanted them to make for us. So we were standing out in a field of mud and cow poop and one by one we picked who we wanted to work with. We’ve only had one challenge so far, so as we went down the line, all the girls were excited to pick the only designer that they were familiar with so far—until Alexis decided she wanted a little more camera time and for no apparent reason decided to drop her designer from last week and mix things up a bit. Bye-bye Mila, Alexis is now working with Anthony.
So along with our designers, we did the Project Runway standard mad dash to the extra fabric and embellishment piles. For three minutes we helped our designers pick out fabric for the looks they would create for us to wear to a big industry event. After we had a few minutes with our designers to describe our vision, we were separated and told that they’d have only one day to work on this outfit for us.

Later we met with our designers to do a quick fitting. Drama ensued as Jay was only half done with his dress…would he be able to finish? Ping’s dress exposed her model’s booty…would she be able to fix this in time for the show the next day without sending her model down the runway with her rear end exposed? My dress was lovely and fit like a glove—I went home after the fitting and read a book. I chose to not partake in the freak out session that most of the girls were having back at the models’ apartment when we returned from the fitting.

But the show ended up being pretty impressive. I was utterly shocked that these pieces were made from potato sacks. When judging time came along, Pamela and Ping were left in the bottom three. Ping sent her girl down the runway with her entire behind hanging out. I felt so bad for Elizaveta. Lorena and Mila won the challenge today, while Pamela was aufed for her dress being old-fashioned.

FYI, Lauren Hutton is crazy stunning and even more beautiful in real life. Way to go Project Runway for getting an amazing true fashion icon as one of the guest judges. Hats off to you. Ping freaked out because she was almost sent a packing, so decided to get rid of Elizaveta and chose a stronger model to try to save herself. So now being one of the stronger models means that the weakest designers are going to steal you. Ping picked me and now the fun really starts. Models are getting stolen, butts are hanging out, the consequence of unloyalty rears its ugly head.

Till next week,

Brandise
