Much like athletes, a model’s figure is the most important thing in her career. Along with having next-to-zero body fat, models sculpt and build their physiques all year long, just like top tier athletes. They’re constantly watching their diet and and making sure their bodies are in top physical condition (need we remind you how Adriana Lima prepped for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show?) for photo shoots, fashion shows, and everything in between. However, unlike an athlete who could potentially slack off for a month during the off-season, models are working round the clock, 365 days a year.
Celebrity trainer, Oscar Smith, who works with a number of models including Petra Nemcova, Selita Ebanks, and Anna Jagodzinska believes that models are actually tougher than athletes when it comes to working out. “The models work just as hard as - if not harder than - the athletes,” said Smith who also recently started training NFL quarterback Tom Brady. “Athletes are maybe a bit more businesslike [but] the [models] are more likely to say, ‘Is that all you got?’”
While we’ll never see a model tackling a linebacker in the midst of a football game, we sure wouldn’t mind watching a model vs. NFL player fitness competition!
