In case “The Model as Muse” exhibit just wasn’t enough for you, the Costume Institute has a plan. As part of its Concerts & Lectures series, the Metropolitan Museum of Art will be hosting discussions around three fashion-related films featuring not only Harold Koda and Kohle Yohannan, curator and guest cocurator, respectively, of the Costume Institute, but special guests that we’re thrilled to see.
On July 10, the museum plans to screen Funny Face, and has secured Carmen Dell’Orifice as the guest panelist. But it doesn’t end there. Dorothy McGowan will join the curators for Qui ĂȘtes-vous, Polly Maggoo? on July 17, and then Modelinia’s own Douglas Keeve will screen Unzipped on July 22 with none other than Isaac Mizrahi.
Two iconic supermodels, plus the great Isaac? You know we’ll be there. Join us? Tickets are $10 (cheap for movies in the city!) and can be purchased here.
