Musings on Marchesa with Brooklyn Decker

Fresh off of her New York/Vegas/New York massive Sports Illustrated tour, Brooklyn Decker stepped into the Marchesa presentation at the Chelsea Art Gallery looking as though she was well-rested, calm, and ready to take on Fashion Week. Though we all know the cover girl has been busy with her press tours, it was impossible to tell she’d been busy busy busy since before the fashion shows even began.

Between devouring the beauty of the elegant gowns by Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig, Modelinia just had to know the first thing Brooklyn did upon returning to her new home of Brooklyn. “Slept. Up until yesterday, I was still sleep-deprived. I slept 12 hours last night and I’m back on track, but now it’s Fashion Week festivities!”

Divided by black curtains, models including Addison Gill stood on their own mirrored platforms, showing off designs inspired by Lola Montez, including tulle, silk chiffon, and delicate embellishment. Paired with Frédéric Fekkai’s whimsical courtesan dos, this was quite the breathtaking presentation.”I’ve been with Sports Illustrated, and it’s sexy, the sexier thing, but then you come to Marchesa and it’s so elegant,” said Brooklyn. “They’re really elegant with their colors and the shapes they make. It’s like artwork. The red is really catching my eye.”

And if you haven’t had enough of Brooklyn, she’ll be hitting up Calvin Klein’s postshow party. Just another expectant model sighting to get excited about! ~ Bianca Posterli
