Natural Beauty - Eco-Friendly Model Products

With so much focus on model’s diets and health from the inside out, in honor of Earth Day it’s time to focus on what makes us naturally beautiful from the outside in.

The beauty industry is stocked full of scientifically created products that help fight wrinkles and keep a supple youthful appearance—but sometimes your skin needs a breather from chemicals and must soak in some natural ingredients.

With constant makeup and hair styling sessions, models are experts in terms of what causes a strain on your appearance. Here are some gals who have taken the steps to not only use eco-conscious beauty products, but create their own.

Sejaa Pure Skincare

Using all-natural ingredients and calming fragrances, Sejaa Pure Skincare was created by
Gisele Bündchen, who was not only was she interested in making sure that the products themselves were make without chemicals, but the packaging itself is designed to be as minimal and is used with only recycled papers, plastics, and soy ink. “I want to help myself in any way I can to be more conscious, more present, more aware, more happy,” she says. “And if my philosophy or products can help to make others happy, then I’ve been successful.”

Launching on Earth Day, Josie Maran along with Petra Nemcova and Angela Lindvall, will unveil three limited-edition bottles of Argan Oil, with proceeds going to some of our favorite model’s causes. Maran’s cause is Women for Women International, which gives women survivors of war tools to become self-sufficient. Petra’s cause is the Happy Hearts Fund, which is dedicated to rebuilding schools and restoring hope and opportunity in the lives of children after natural disasters; and Angela supports Healthy Child Healthy World, which expands awareness of unnecessary toxic risks to children’s health. The product itself is 100 percent natural, and the causes couldn’t be anymore deserving.

The Body Shop

Last month, Lily Cole was announced as the first global ambassador for The Body Shop. She helped to develop a cruelty makeup collection for the brand, and traveled to Ghana to learn about sourcing natural products and ingredients. “The Body Shop takes a responsible attitude to people and the environment,” she said. It feels amazing to be supporting a brand that’s a pioneer in that way of working.”

Kora Organics
Miranda Kerr, a longtime fan of healthy living developed Kora Organics with the mission to inspire people globally to nurture their bodies, embrace their unique beauty and understand the benefits of using organic skincare. The entire collection is infused with antioxidant rich Noni, Essential Fatty Acids, Herbal Extracts, Essential Oils and Vitamin A, C and E and many other highly rejuvenating and replenishing ingredients. With Miranda’s hectic travel scheduling, she designed this to nourish, replenish and re-hydrate the skin—exactly what she wanted for herself, but was unable to find anywhere in the world.
