After attending BCBG Max Azria’s model callbacks earlier this week we knew the runway would be filled with top models. Though the lineup included fashion week stars like Kate King, Jacquelyn Jablonski, Ruby Aldridge, and Liu Wen, Max Azria kicked off his Fall 2012 show with rising star Josefien Rodermans. “It’s very exciting to be opening a show like this because, you know, BCBG is a very well-known designer,” Josefien told us backstage while snacking on a chocolate muffin. We also spotted Erin Wasson backstage, conducting all kinds of interviews for Maybelline before making her way to the front of the house to take her front row seat fellow Maybelline beauty, Jessica White.

The collection was made up of simplified silhouettes ornamented with color-blocked prints and fur embellishments. Zuzanna Bijoch stood out on the runway in a tangerine colored pleated chiffon skirt, burnt orange leather jacket, and patchwork fur scarf that made the breezy outfit feel winter appropriate. Newcomer Brenda Kranz closed the show in a sheer white chiffon dress that further emphasized the point that “No White After Labor Day” is a thing of the past.
