Olympic Dreams with Natalia Vodianova

Though Vancouver’s still prepping for their 2010 Winter Olympics, and we still have Cindy Crawford’s moment in Canada with Omega to look forward to, Russia’s already getting excited about 2014. Four years from now, athletes and fans will invade Sochi along the Black Sea coast for 17 days of cold-weather sports.

Ever the supporter of her homeland, Natalia Vodianova is helping Russia garner fans and interest for the monumental occasion with her new title as Ambassador of the Games. “Sochi 2014 is a major opportunity for Russia and the world to embrace sport and healthy living, but also to help build understanding and friendship between people from different cultures,” says Natalia. “For many people, it will be the first time they see Russia in a different light. As we celebrate Russia’s first-ever dedicated Paralympic Day in Russia, I’m proud to take this new role for Sochi 2014. Ultimately, our first Winter Games will help create greater awareness and better understanding of the millions of people who live with perceived disabilities in our country.”

With Cindy and Natalia’s involvement, does this mean the Olympics are the newest supermodel-approved cool place to be?
