On the Campaign Trail

The campaign images just keep coming! And today there are quite a few massive ads in the form of Chanel, YSL, DKNY, and ChloƩ.

Heidi Mount is back for Chanel’s Fall ‘09 ad, this time with Freja Beha Erichsen. It looks like Karl Lagerfeld is really loving the Vermont atmosphere. If you remember, Karl admitted earlier this year that a portion of the campaign would take place in a barn, as he said, “I’ve never seen such a beautiful barn in my life.” The details are few at this point, as he’s only let slip that “it was very cold, the sky was blue, and the light was stunning.” The girls are buttoned up, prim and proper, so it seems the whole collection of images will be extremely pure and pastoral.

Continuing with the countryside look that Chanel was going for, there’s also ChloĆ©’s Fall ‘09 campaign. Sigrid Agren, Karlie Kloss, and Kasia Struss look like they’re channeling ’60s hippie children who are off to Woodstock in this image, and we’re kind of adoring the full-on beige look against wheat fields.

To follow up her return appearance for Bally, Christy Turlington’s Yves Saint Laurent Fall ‘09 campaign was just released. It’s quite different from the image of Kate Moss through a window. Inez and Vinoodh captured Christy leather-clad in overalls worthy of Janet Jackson’s “Rhythm Nation” video.

Finally, Giedre Dukauskaite, Lyndsey Scott, Liu Wen, Alyona Osmanova, Rosie Tupper, Diana Farkhullina, Daiane Conterato, and Anna Gushina pose for DKNY’s Fall ‘09 ad in such a poised and ladylike way, it gives us a reason to look forward to fall. Cue the Gossip Girl wardrobe department falling in love with that red coat for Blair.
