From impeccable designs and tailoring to unbeatable model line-ups, we expect nothing but the best from Narciso Rodriguez. As an overly rambunctious crowd poured into the Theatre at Lincoln Center last night, we were too busy checking to see who would be walking in one of our favorite shows of the season. Naturally, we were blown away by the line-up. Arizona Muse, Hanne Gaby Odiele, Jacquelyn Jablonski, Jac, Ruby Aldridge, and Shu Pei Qin were some of the bigger names to strut their stuff down the catwalk but there were also a few newer names that we couldn’t help but take note of.
Saskia de Brauw opened the show wearing a color-blocked vest and wool twill trousers and was soon followed by Zuzanna Bijoch who’s been popping up all over the runway this season. The androgynous Kristina Salinovic closed the show beautifully in a black embroidered silk chiffon dress which showed off the skeletal tattoo she has going down her back.
Chances are, if you’re a newcomer to the runway and you’re walking in a show as big as Narciso Rodriguez, you’re on the brink of becoming a runway superstar. We’re excited to see more of these fresh faces in the seasons to come, particularly Kristina Salinovic who had our eyes glued to her every time she took the catwalk. ~ Sonia Evers
