Hailey Baldwin and Bella Hadid Take Their Model Friendship to the NYC Streets

It was just last week that Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner debuted their latest Vogue editorial co-starring pal Justin Bieber and a selfie stick. Now, it appears the two It models have some competition in the most fashionable BFFs category in the form of Hailey Baldwin and Bella Hadid— that’s right, Gigi’s younger model sister.

The two up-and-coming models were spotted strutting down the NYC streets on Thursday, where they were reportedly shooting a new campaign for Denim & Supply Co. co-starring — get this— Gigi’s boyfriend Cody Simpson.  The celeb-model were seen holding hands and sharing secrets as they worked their effortlessly cool denim style for the cameras.  Among our favorite looks were two particularily Coachella-ready outfits: on Hailey a red floral print maxi dress and brown lace-up heeled boots; and on Bella, a black mini-dress styled with a Kurt Cobain-style flannel shirt, zip-up booties and chain-jewelry that recalled Kate Moss‘ ’90s grunge days.

No word yet on when the model’s campaign will hit, but judging by these photos, it’s going to be well worth the wait. Keep scrolling for a look at the models in action.

Look of the Week: Kendall Jenner’s Takes a Risk in a Skirt-Pants Hybrid

Full disclosure: we were fully prepared to dislike anything that goes by the name of “skirt-pants hybrid,” but leave it to Kendall Jenner to not only change our minds, but to also leave us wanting a pair of our own!

After walking in the Chanel Métiers d’Art show on Tuesday night, the model-of-the-moment stepped out in New York City wearing a monochromatic outfit worthy of a runway itself.  We’ll admit, it’s a bit unusual, and it did take us a second to get used to, but once we did, there was no turning back.  Unabashed by the outfit’s high risk factor, Kendall styled her furry-sleeved textural pullover with a gray skirt-pant hybrid that displayed just a hint of midriff and suede charcoal pumps. The finishing touches? Square shades and a black Marc Jacobs carryall— pieces subtle enough to let her pants do all the talking.

Follow in her footsteps and go gray-on-gray by layering an asymmetric wrap skirt over fitted pants washed in the same shade for a similar effect. Just remember, the key here, is the tailoring. Slouchy silhouettes could look messy and lead to unsightly bunching. Will you brave Kendall’s skirt-pants hybrid?
