Modelinia AM Reads: How to Look Like a Model This New York Fashion Week

Saturday Night Live celebrated forty years on television last night with a star-studded, three-and-a-half-hour tribute featuring well, just about every major Hollywood star that you can think of.  Montages, musical guests, and endless surprise cameos were in store for fans of the late-night sketch comedy show. Here, relieve 13 of the anniversary special’s best moments — From Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake’s opening act to Eddie Murphy’s long-await return. ~ Vogue

Last month, H&M announced that it would be teaming up with California’s premiere music festival, Coachella, on a  line of clothing inspired by the festival’s niche fashion aesthetic, and today we have the first look.  Modeled by up-and-comer Aya Jones, the line includes plenty of denim cut-offs, fringe-adorned crop-tops and printed robes. ~ WWD

If you’ve been following the New York Fashion Week coverage on Twitter, you’ve likely spotted some of your favorite insiders using the hashtag #fashionflock throughout the week.  Come to find out, it’s hashtag is actually part of a new collaboration between Twitter and Mophie, who have teamed up with 50 influencers to share their experiences as part of an exclusive group.  Members of the program were also provided with the first customized juice pack cases for the iPhone 6, which, naturally, can now be purchased by using Twitter’s new “Buy Now” feature. ~ Fashionista

We’re nearly halfway through New York Fashion Week and though many artistic hairstyles have been unveiled backstage (at Tracy Reese, Cushnie et Ochs, and Mara Hoffman, to name a few), we couldn’t help but notice another low-key hair trend (or rather, anti-trend) taking center stage: welcome “naked” hair. Described as slightly disheveled, textured, with just the tiniest hint of wave, naked hair is the hair equivalent to makeup’s “I woke up like this” trend. ~ WhoWhatWear

Whether you fancy yourself a Cara or a Kendall, we’ve studied the models’ fashion week street style long enough to know that their signature off-duty looks are all built around a few key pieces, which makes mastering their style a surprisingly easy task. Here, we’ve broken down the models’ best look to help you  master the model off-duty look we all love and crave. ~ Modelinia

Get the Beauty Look: Alexander Wang Goes Goth!

Alexander Wang has gone goth. Party Pics: Inside the Alexander Wang After Party, Galore’s Love Ball and More

One doesn’t need a strict guest list to throw a memorable New York Fashion Week party— a fact LOVE magazine’s Katie Grand proved to be true on Saturday night.  With nearly 500 (and counting) onlookers gathered outside Marc Jacobs’ BookMarc store location, Grand hosted a rare ‘open to the public’ NYFW event that saw bombshells Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid and Emily Ratajkowski signing copies of the glossy’s latest issue.  Together, the models-of-the-moment greeted and posed for selfies with their fans, many of whom suffered through the arctic chill outside just to catch a peek of the cover girls.

Meanwhile, at Lincoln Center, supermodel Naomi Campbell rounded up her own group of fashionable “It-girls” for the latest edition of her Fashion For Relief runway show benefitting the Ebola Survival Fund.  The charity show was a star-studded event to say the least. Justin Bieber, Rosario Dawson and Mary J. Blige were just a few of the stars holding court in the audience, while top models Jessica Hart, Cameron Russell, Shanina Shaik, Toni Garrn, Blanca Padilla and Kelly Gale among others, took to the runway.

Modelinia AM Reads: 6 Models to Follow On Snapchat This NYFW

As if Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady aren’t already the cutest couple to ever walk the planet, the 37-year-old Super Bowl champion celebrated Valentine’s Day on Saturday by sharing an adorable snap of the couple caught a moment of PDA.  Our hearts melt! ~ Just Jared

Speaking of Valentine’s Day celebrations, on Saturday Moncler honored the holiday with a impressive fashion extravaganza fit for cupid himself.  The massive heart-shaped runway was dotted with couples dressed in retro-ski gear and parkas.  To top it off, they all shared a finale kiss as Jackie Deshannons “What The World Needs Now Is Love” played on. ~ Vogue

Alexander Wang’s front row was a meeting of style stars (or should we say little style stars), as North West sat next to the designer’s resident tiny tot – his niece Aila Wang. North and Aila both wore custom Alexander Wang outfits, inspired by the all-black fall 2015 collection which hit the runway. Forget OshKosh B’Gosh overalls, the street style toddlers wore chunky combat boots and reflective jackets and we’re totally jealous. ~ Grazia UK

Swiss watch brand Hublot has added another shiny star to its portfolio of high-wattage ambassadors. Amid a snow flurry, supermodel Bar Refaeli was unveiled as the LVMH-owned firm’s first female spokesperson on Thursday.  The outdoor event also marked the official groundbreaking for the firm’s forthcoming 743 Fifth Avenue store — which will be its second in New York and its largest retail outlet in the world. ~ WWD

Gorgeous coats and must-have thigh-high boots weren’t the only must-have items to come out of Joseph Altuzarra’s fall 2015 runway show on Saturday.  In the latest extension of his brand, the designer used Saturday’s highly-anticipated show to launch his first handbag collection, dubbed “Notch.” The bags, in black, orange and brown leather, as well as navy and burgundy crocodile, came in two styles: a large hobo with a short handle and a smaller, saddle-shaped shoulder bag, which brought to mind Chloe’s popular “Marcie” bag. ~ Fashionista
