Lily Aldridge Celebrates Victoria’s Secret’s 9th Annual “What Is Sexy?” List

What is sexy? If anyone has the answer, it’s most definitely Victoria’s Secret.

As the authority on all things sexy, the lingerie giant took to San Francisco today to announce the winners of the 2014 “What is Sexy?” List presented by supermodel Lily Aldridge.  This year’s list, honoring the hottest and most inspiring women in Hollywood, was all about living a ‘casually confident lifestyle,’ a sentiment that rings especially true for Lily.  ”Being sexy is all about having confidence, personality, and inner beauty,” explained Lily.  ”Sexiness is something that comes from inside and when you have confidence and are happy with yourself, it shows.”

Including such categories as “Sexiest Smile,” “Sexiest Summer Glow,” and “Sexiest Short Hair, Don’t Care,” this year’s list paid tribute to such Hollywood hotties as Margot Robbie, Blake Lively, Gigi Hadid and Lily’s own BFF Taylor Swift.    Still, of all of the names on this year’s list, there was one in particular that Lily was especially excited to see had made the cut.

“I was so excited to see that Alexa Chung was on the list this year for sexiest street style,” said Lily.  ”I think she’s so cool and has such amazing style.  And not only is she beautiful, but she’s also an incredible person on the inside as well with a great personality, so I’m very happy to see her on the list.”

In addition to honoring the hottest in film, music and TV, Victoria’s Secret also used the “What is Sexy?” List reveal to launch a new collection of bras, including the Incredible, Fabulous, T-Shirt Bra and Unlined Styles.  The collection promises to be sleeker and more modern than ever, and comes in an array of sexy, deep fall colors, like rich grape, olive, and navy, all of which fall under this year’s “Less is More” approach to style.

“I’m definitely a firm believer in “less is more” when it comes to my personal style,” explained Lily.  ”I think anyone who follows my style knows that I love classic pieces that are easy to throw on and I think that’s what makes this new line so great.  They’re just effortless, beautiful bras that you can where everywhere.”

You can peep the collection for yourself over at Victoria’s Secret and see which of your favorite celebs made this year’s What is Sexy? List after the jump!

Sara Blomqvist’s Wedding Was a Top Model Affair

Make no mistake about it — wedding season is still in full effect.  Hot on the heels of Lindsay Ellingson and Behati Prinsloo’s summer nuptials, Swedish stunner Sara Blomqvist wed her longtime love and fellow model Jeremy Young in an intimate ceremony at Glynwood Farm in Cold Spring, New York.  The 25-year-old model said “I do” in a stunning white lace Valentino gown and a simple beaded veil, a sketch of which she recently appeared on Instagram.

Considering the newlyweds shared profession, it comes as no surprise that the wedding was a top model affair with guests including longtime friends Alana Zimmer, Jacquelyn Jablonski, Sheila Marquez and bridesmaids Mirte Maas and Bette Franke.  In addition to being a part of the couple’s special day, the catwalkers also took on the role of wedding photographers, snapping photos of the happy couple in all of their matrimonial bliss.

Check out our favorite moments—from some of our favorite faces—at the model-filled nuptials below:

Daria Werbowy Wigs Out in Equipment’s New Selfie-Filled Campaign

What happens when you ask a supermodel to style and photograph herself for a fashion campaign?  Well, if you’re Daria Werbowy, you hole up in the Irish countryside, bust out your wig collection and get to snapping and chopping.

Armed with a fully stocked wardrobe and the freedom to express herself creatively, the supermodel set out on a two week selfie-snapping spree, the products of which can now be seen in the form of Equipment’s fall 2014 campaign.  But while the average selfie typically comes across as nothing more than an exercise of vanity, Daria turns the social media trend on its head, stripping herself down to the bare essentials: i.e the brand’s sumptuous button-up shirts and a variety of character wigs that she naturally cut and styled herself on set.

“I couldn’t really imagine doing it in a studio,” said Daria in an interview with Vogue. “I went kind of mental and just kept shooting to get over the nerves of the whole process. It definitely brought up things for me emotionally. I saw certain qualities about myself in the creative process and even some control issues I had. I think it is more of a true representation of myself than people have ever seen before.”

Needless to say, Daria totally nailed this one.  Much like her inspiring Instagram account (@dotwillow), the photographs are ethereal, natural, and impossibly cool.  Further proof of which is evident in campaign’s accompanying video, which shows Daria at her house in Ireland dancing, playing air guitar and giving herself a haircut.  You can catch all of that in the video below, along with images from the shoot after the jump!

Beauty Inspiration: How to Do Goth-Glam Like Cara Delevingne

If you’ve ever picked up a fashion magazine or scrolled through a beauty blog, you’re likely already aware— if not an avid practitioner— of the ‘golden rule’ of beauty: namely, thou shalt not wear both a strong eye and a statement lip in one sitting.  Well, while that may have been well and good for your mother’s generation, today’s leading beauty icons are giving the dated commandment the cold shoulder, and in some cases, doing with with aplomb.

One such case comes by way of Cara Delevingne, who just last week stepped out wearing a smokey eye and a dark matte lip to Leonardo DiCaprio’s Saint Tropez charity gala.  Not surprisingly, the Brit was the picture of perfect gothic-glam beauty, sporting a flawless makeup look that was as dramatic and  bold as her sharp Emilio Pucci pants suit.  Inspired by Cara’s risk-taking summer beauty, we set out to recreate the supermodel’s gorgeous look with the help of a few of our favorite go-to products.  Here’s how you too can master the smokey eye/bold lip combo at home:

The First Look at Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Abbey Lee Kershaw in “Mad Max: Fury Road”

In case you missed it, Comic-Con returned to San Diego this weekend, where it wasn’t comic books that caused the biggest buzz, but rather the unveiling of several action-packed movie trailers.  Among them, the first official preview of George Miller’s upcoming film “Mad Max: Fury Road” — a blockbuster we’ve been excited for since it first started filming in 2012 thanks in large part to its model-heavy cast.

Joining Hollywood heavyweights Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron, model-turned-actresses Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Abbey Lee Kershaw and Courtney Eaton star in the latest reboot of the post-apocalyptic action trilogy previously made famous by Mel Gibson in the 1980s.  While the trailer doesn’t give away a ton in terms of the plot, it does feature several appearances by Rosie and Co., which is more than enough to hold us over until the film’s nationwide release.

“Mad Max: Fury Road” won’t hit theaters until May 15, 2015, but you can get a sneak peek at the models in action by watching the clip below.

Cara Delevingne’s Topshop Campaign is Here!

Campaign wise, it’s been quite the season for Cara Delevingne.   The 21-year-old Brit has already scored herself numerous fall/winter 2014 campaigns for high-end brands – Chanel, Mulberry, and Burberry included – and now she’s got a prestigious high street one to add to her CV, too!

That’s right— after announcing back in June that the model-slash-actress would become the first ever solo face of the brand, Topshop has finally unveiled the full look at the model’s new 12-image fall/winter 2014 campaign that not only highlights the high street retailer’s best autumn pieces, but also the 21-year-old’s quirky personality.

Shot in London by Alasdair McLellan and styled by Kate Phelan, Topshop’s creative director, the ad images see Cara lounging around a townhouse with a guitar while modeling a series of rock n’ roll-meets-ultra-glam inspired pieces, including second-skin leather jeans, an oversized fur jacket, a beaded mini dress, and tough ankle boots.

“Cara is a true Topshop girl. Her style is confident and playful and she can be sophisticated and chic as easily as she can be cool and casual,” said Phelan. “Putting her spin on everything she makes the Topshop collection her own. Her uninhibited natural energy is intoxicating, she is free spirited and fun.”

In addition to the print adverts, Cara and her wacky personality also take center stage in a charming new behind-the-scenes video in which she snuggles up to her pet bunny Cecil, performs various unorthodox dance moves (including the worm), and has fun swinging a light saber.  If you didn’t already love Cara and her quirky self, this adorable video will surely change your mind.
