Party Pics: The Models Kick Off the Weekend at Paris Fashion Week’s Top Parties

Paris may be the final stop on the spring/summer ’15 circuit, but that doesn’t mean that the action shows any sign of slowing down.

On Wednesday night, the fashion elite joined Diane von Furstenberg in celebrating the 40th anniversary of her historic wrap dress with the unveiling of a new shop window at Galeries Lafayette.  The display features six works of art handpicked by the designer, including a painting of Anna Wintour by Alex Katz, another one of Franca Sozzani by Julian Schnabel as well as photograph of supermodel Natalia Vodianova— who joined the legendary designer at the store fete— taken by François-Marie Banier.

Kicking things off on Thursday night, photographer Peter Lindbergh gathered the fash pack at the Gagosian Gallery for the opening of his latest exhibition, which feature large-scale works honoring the glamour of his most iconic model muses including ’90s supermodels Kate Moss and Nadja Auermann.  Among the attendees was Emilio Pucci’s Peter Dundas, Nicholas Kirkwood and Paolo Roversi, along with a flurry of models including Karlie Kloss,  Joan Smalls, Natalia Vodianova and Andreea Diaconu.

Meanwhile, at Paris’ Caviar Kaspia, Matchesfashion.com played host to an intimate dinner party celebrating Tabitha Simmons spring 2015 collection.  Kendall Jenner, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Karlie Kloss and Joan Smalls were just a few of the top models who joined Derek Blasberg, Grace Coddington and Hanneli Mustaparta at the exclusive fashion week dinner.

Cara Delevingne Gives Us a Tour of Hogwarts “MTV Cribs” Style

Remember MTV Cribs? You know, the show where celebrities would open the doors to their million dollar pads to show off their big screen TVs, in-home movie theaters and overly-stocked refrigerators.  The show had quite the run in the early ’00s, and, as it turns out, it had a fan in at least one major supermodel: Cara Delevingne.

In the latest addition to Vogue‘s ‘Instagirl’ video series, the 22-year-old supermodel invites the magazine inside her home for an exclusive tour à la Cribs.  Of course, it doesn’t take long to notice that it’s not her bachelorette pad that she’s giving you a tour of, but rather of everyone’s favorite magical location: Hogwarts.  Watch as the fun-loving cover girl reveals an inside look at her enchanted digs, including a walk-through of her very own street and a look at the place where her Instagram first started in the video above!

Is This the Best Model Casting of Paris Fashion Week?

The “model army” is back! On Thursday, Balmain’s Olivier Rousteing returned to the Paris stage with what may very well be the best model lineup of the Paris collections.

Calling upon his famous fashion friends, Rousteing rounded up the best of the modeling world to walk for the French house’s spring ’15 show, including a diverse cast of supermodels and of-the-moment “It” girls.  For starters, there were supermodels like Karlie Kloss, Joan Smalls, Jourdan Dunn Liu Wen and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who took their turns on the catwalk alongside such runway veterans as Edita Vilkeviciute, Aymeline Valade, and Anna Ewers. And, seeing as how Rousteing is a close friend of the Kardashian clan, it comes as no surprise that Kendall Jenner joined the Balmain “model army” as Kim, Kanye and Kris Jenner looked on from the front row.

The Models’ Guide to Modeling: What the Models Wish They Knew Before They Made It Big

Over the past few years the number of working models appears to have quadrupled. Models like Karlie Kloss and Cara Delevingne are landing more high-profile campaigns than ever, and all at the ripe age of 22, while others continue to strut down the runway well into their forties. It’s a glamorous life- being a supermodel- but before they were sporting couture and sipping champagne with top designers, they were beginners. With a few polaroids in their books and a pair of heels in their bags, they did their best to navigate the highs and lows of the fashion and beauty business in order to make it big.

Inspired by their successful climbs up the fashion ladder, we spent New York Fashion Week catching up with some of the industry’s most prolific catwalkers to get a first-hand account of what it’s really like to be a young model working in fashion and the lessons they learned along the way.  What do Caroline Trentini, Maggie Rizer, and Coco Rocha wish they knew about modeling when they first started out?  Find out in the slideshow below!

Kate Moss and Lila Grace Do ‘Mommy and Me’ Style With London Flair

It appears that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree for Kate Moss and her daughter Lila Grace.  Captured in an adorable street style moment in London this week, the supermodel and her mini me were perfectly coordinated in matching striped shirts and Wayfayer sunnies— Kate layered hers under a grey mohair cardigan and skinny scarf, while Lila sported a classic black leather biker jacket (a staple of Kate’s iconic wardrobe).   Dressed in their matching monochromatic layers, Kate and Lila made for one chic mother-daughter pair.
