Lily McMenamy to Star in Marc Jacobs’ Fall ’13 Campaign!

At just 19-years old and after only two seasons on the runway, Lily McMenamy already has quite a bit to brag about; among them a runway exclusive for Saint Laurent and most recently a cover for i-D magazine’s summer issue.  Come Fall ’13, her bragging rights will soar once again with the release of her first major fashion campaign for none other than the man who made her arm the talk of the town last February— Marc Jacobs!

The fearless newcomer, who famously walked topless at Jacobs’ Fall ’13 show in February— just her third runway appearance, ever at that time — recently revealed to Vogue that she’s been tapped for the designer’s upcoming fall ad campaign— a shoot which kept her “in Central Park until 2:00 a.m.” Could this be part two to Jacobs’ “Ladies of the Night” film?

Speaking of the runway, Lily, who is also the daughter to legendary ’90s supermodel Kristen McMenamy, said she didn’t believe Jacobs’ and the styling team were being serious when they first asked her to walk topless.

“First I couldn’t really believe that they were asking me to go topless, and then they were, like, ‘We’re being serious,’ and so I was, like, ‘All right. Fine,’ ” says Lily.

And while the Paris-based beauty makes it look all so easy on the runway, she admits that she spent quite a bit of time practicing her hand positioning with Jacobs, making sure to cover herself in just the right fashion. According to her interview with Vogue:

“Marc and I talked a lot about my hand positioning. I wanted to do this.” [Lilly] presses both her palms to her T-shirt. “But he said it’d be much classier with one hand. Like, ‘Oh, Mr. Produuuucer.’ I had to walk three times. When I came backstage after the first, I said, ‘Marc, was it all right?’ and he said, ‘Amazing.’ So I thought, okay, I can do it again.”

Only time will tell if Lily’s hand positioning skills have been put to use again for the fall campaign.  Until then, get to know more about the rising fashion star and her beauty tips in Vogue‘s latest interview!

Cara Delevingne is Taking It All Off for Marc Jacobs!

Great news Delevingners!

While scrolling through our Instagram feed today, we came across a photo taken by the British beauty herself revealing what we can only assume is evidence of an exciting new campaign.  The photo in question sees Cara posing in her birthday suit next to the caption “Protect the Skin You’re In,” thus giving us every reason to believe that the runway sensation is the latest model to join Marc Jacobs’ campaign in his fight against skin cancer.

Found in 2006, the designer’s annual “Protect the Skin You’re In” campaign helps to raise money for the NYU Cancer Institute at NYU Medical Center with a limited-edition t-shirt featuring a disrobed supermodel, actress, or as was the case last year, a cartoon character.  In the past, Jacobs has landed a number of fashion’s most-successful top models— Heidi KlumNaomi CampbellHelena Christensen and Marisa Miller to name a few—  a category Cara is more than familiar with these days.  Hot off a turn on Chanel’s Cruise ’14 runway show staged in Singapore yesterday, as well as the debut of her latest cover for the newly-launched Miss Vogue, Cara has proven herself a true superstar and quite possibly an even bigger champion of than Kate Moss!

The official campaign has yet to be released, but if Cara’s preview is any indication of what’s to come, then we certainly have a lot to look forward to!

Look of the Week: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Has Done It Again!

We’ll be honest with you— after four days of non-stop Met Gala coverage, we think we’ve finally reached the point of Met overdose!  That being said, when it came time to choose our Look of the Week winner, rather than torturing ourselves with the task of selecting just one among nearly two dozen gorgeous model Met looks , we turned our attention to a few of the week’s other top contenders.  It was only by coincidence then that this week’s winner was also one of the Gala’s best-dressed, first catching our attention a few days prior to the punk fete at the Balmain dinner party held at the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood. That’s right, we’re talking about the one, the only, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley!

Scoring her third Look of the Week title, Rosie stunned as per usual in head-to-toe Balmain at the West Coast event.  Rocking a graphic black-and-white checkered high-waisted A-line skirt and a long-sleeve black leather crop-top, the top model looked as fierce as ever! The sexy look was topped off with a pair of black leather caged peep-toe booties, which further served to highlight the model’s gorgeous gams.  In terms of beauty, the model-turned-screen siren kept things simple, sporting loose tresses and minimal make-up sans a fresh pink pout.  With a look as stunning as this, we’ve almost completely forgotten about that whole Met Gala  business!  To score Rosie’s latest winning ensemble, check out our style picks in the slideshow below:

Kate Upton Lands Her First US Vogue Cover!

It’s here, it’s finally here!

As rumored, Vogue has chosen Kate Upton to star on the cover of its June 2013 issue, marking the buxom blonde’s first ever— not to mention long-awaited— American Vogue cover.  Christening her the “American Dream Girl,”  “The Hottest Supermodel on Earth” and “America’s Favorite Bombshell,” the glossy is paying tribute to more than just Kate’s “killer curves” this month, although, those too have their moment in the sun.

With famed photographer Mario Testino behind the lens, Kate shines in a printed bathing suit and stilettos, her hair styled short and teased, while posing in a very Marilyn fashion for the breathtaking cover shot.  Inside the mag, the retro beauty continues with a series of figure-flattering shots that see the Florida native in high-fashion looks from designers such as Rochas, Dolce & Gabbana and Matthew Williamson.  The glowing cover spot is made even more special by the fact that it marks Vogue‘s first model cover since Kate Moss’s wedding issue in September 2011.  There’s just something about those Kates!

As for the profile, Kate’s body is obviously the hottest topic of discussion.  While chatting with Vogue‘s Lizzie Widdicombe, Kate opens up about the criticism she’s faced since her rise to super stardom, admitting that it was “hard at first”and it left her wondering “Is something wrong with me?”  But, she eventually learned to ignore her critics:

“You sit there and you’re like ‘Is something wrong with me?’ ” But she’s learned to ignore her critics—and come to regard her healthy body as a point of pride. “The things that they’re rejecting are things that I can’t change. I can’t change my bra size. They’re natural! I can work out and I can stay healthy and motivated, but I can’t change some things. I really just live my life. I love my body. It’s what God gave me! I feel confident with myself, and if that inspires other women to feel confident with their bodies, great.”

Of course, just as impressive as her sinuous curves are her tech-savvy skills and “old-fashioned” ambition, which have helped catapult the believe it or not once “stick-thin” Miami girl into one of modeling’s biggest stars.

“It’s just me sharing my life,” Kate says about her impressive Twitter account. “I like it if it’s authentic and in the moment and happening.” Growing up, she adds, “I didn’t buy the magazines that had models on the covers, because I didn’t know them. So I think this kind of gives me, as a model, a personality that people can connect with.”

It’s that type of vibrant personality that now has Kate inspired to try her hand at more than just modeling.  As we’ve previously announced, the Sports Illustrated cover girl is set to star in The Other Woman, a comedy led by Cameron Diaz and Leslie Mann.  But what about designing?

“I would love to have my own lingerie line,” says Kate.  But of course!

With such stunning beauty, talent and personality to boot, we couldn’t think of a better way to kick off the summer than with “America’s favorite bombshell!”
