It’s been a big year for Jourdan Dunn. The British model kicked off the year with not one, but two cameos in Beyonce’s record-breaking video album, launched the third season of her online cooking show “Well Dunn With Jourdan Dunn,” and recently joined supermodels Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Karlie Kloss on stage at the third annual Vogue Festival. If that weren’t enough, the 23-year-old model has just been announced as the newest spokeswoman for Maybelline New York!
Joining the likes of Christy Turlington, Emily DiDonato, Freja Beha Erichsen and Charlotte Free, Jourdan’s new venture with the beauty giant marks her first contract as a beauty ambassador and is “an honor,” she says. “I’m proud that to say that I am a Maybelline girl and hopefully I can make people feel the same way I did when I saw the advertisement growing up. The brand imagery is always beautiful and positive. To now be a part of that is a dream come true!”
While she has previously appeared in beauty campaigns, including those for YSL, CK One and Burberry, this new role has added significance as Jourdan marks the brand’s first British model ambassador.
“Jourdan’s look, style and positive energy are perfect for the Maybelline New York brand,” said Jerome Bruhat, global brand president of Maybelline New York. “She truly reflects Maybelline’s vision of global beauty.”
Jourdan’s first role for Maybelline will be fronting the brand’s Go Extreme mascara with print and television ads that will hit the shelves sometime this month. We can’t wait!
