The 2014 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show Has an Air Date!

Mark your calendars— the Angels are coming!

On Wednesday morning, Victoria’s Secret announced that its annual Fashion Show will return to the CBS Television Network on Tuesday, December 9 (10:00-11:00pm ET/PT) when it crosses the pond to film in London for the first time.  As always, this year’s extravaganza will feature appearances by the world famous Victoria’s Secret Angels, including  Adriana LimaAlessandra Ambrosio,Lily AldridgeCandice Swanepoel, Behati Prinsloo, Karlie Kloss and Lindsay Ellingson, in a runway spectacular that promises fashion, fantasy, and a whole lot of entertainment!

Though the annual supermodel extravaganza has previously been moved from New York to Los Angeles and Miami on occasion, this marks only the second time the show has been staged outside of the country following 2000’s Cannes Cinema Against AIDS charity show held during the Cannes Film Festival.

As the Angels prepare to take their gorgeousness across the pond for the wold’s most spectacular runway show yet, we’re left day dreaming about what the brand’s first London show will look like (hopefully).  From the all-star model cast, to the star-studded front row and the exclusive performances, we’ve imagined what we consider to be the ideal Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, but with a exciting London twist (obvious Harry Styles reference included).  VS execs take note— THIS is what we’re hoping to see on runway come December!

Cara Delevingne Just Landed a Major Leading Role!

Major news for Cara Delevingne and her burgeoning acting career: The model just landed the lead female role in the latest adaptation of a John Green best-selling book, Paper Towns!

“VERY EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT! @Caradelevingne will play Margo Roth Spiegelman in the Paper Towns movie,” Green posted to Twitter this afternoon. “Cara Delevingne’s audition blew everyone away (including me!) and she understands Margo profoundly. I am so excited!”

According to Variety, Cara will play alongside actor Nat Wolff in the Jack Schreier directed adaptation for Fox 2000.  Green of course, is the also the man behind this summer’s sappy box-office hit The Fault in Our Stars, which grossed $280 million worldwide.  Needless to say, this is no small time fashion film.  Nor it is just another cheesy YA love story.  On the contrary, the story is said to follow “two young neighbors who share the jarring experience of finding the body of a man who committed suicide. The two leads (Cara and Wolff) grow apart — until the night he finds her at his bedroom window, dressed like a ninja. She enlists him in a campaign to get revenge on the people who’ve hurt her. The next day, she vanishes and he is left to ponder the ramifications of the evening. Then he begins getting clues and follows them in an attempt to find her.”

Cara playing a mysterious love-struck ninja?  What’s not to love here?

No word yet on when the film is due for release or the effect it will have on her ever demanding modeling career, so like all good things in this world, we’ll just have wait and see.

Andreja Pejic Gets Candid About Modeling and Coming Out as Transgender in Her Reditt AMA

Since coming out as transgender earlier this year, formerly male model Andreja Pejic has been a much-needed voice of advocacy   for the transgender community— a role she upheld with aplomb while participating in one of Reddit’s famous As Me Anything threads on Monday.

Speaking openly to the online community, Andreja reflected on her decision to make her transition known to the public, saying she felt that she could help move things forward for others.  ”"I think there needs to be a lot more positive representation,” she says. “Growing up, when I turned the TV on, the only representation of transgender people was [on] Jerry Springer, and that’s horrible, so I think that’s a big obstacle.”

Kate Moss Brings Mardi Gras to London Fashion Week

Unlike New York Fashion Week, which plays hosts to so many A-list after parties that it’s hard to keep count, the London circuit remains relatively tame in comparison.  Luckily for those across the pond, they have Kate Moss to help shake things up!

Famed for her nightlife lifestyle and her ability to throw the most incredible bashes (who could forget her Great Gatsby-themed 30th?), Kate was at it again last night for AnOther Magazine’s A/W14 Launch Party.  In celebration of the glossy’s latest issue — which she covers in four drastically different looks— Kate threw a raucous Mardi Gras themed bash at Mayfair’s famed Loulou’s nightclub where the costumes were just part of the all-night fun.

The 20 Best Manicures of New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer ’15

When it comes to the manicures spotted backstage at New York Fashion Week, there are typically two distinct categories they can fall under: bold, eye-popping nail art and simple nudes.  And while the former has certainly reigned supreme these last few seasons, it’s rare that these two schools of nail design ever cross over.  That is, until this season.

While making our rounds backstage at New York Fashion Week earlier this month, it became abundantly clear to us that next season’s best manicures are neither bold nor boring but rather, the perfect marriage of the two.   With subtle hints of ombre designs, graphic textures and perhaps just a touch of sparkle, manicurists created looks that were not only eye-catching, but also unique and completely wearable.  And with color palettes that range from pops of lilac, mint greens and papaya to stark white and sheer cream, there’s truly no shortage of options to consider.  Of course, we’ve done the heavy lifting for you, scouring our collection of backstage notes to bring you the 20 best manicures of the spring/summer ’15 season.  Scroll through the slideshow below to uncover the nail looks you’ll be lusting for in the months to come!
