It’s a Tie! Nastya Stern and Manuela Frey Are the Top Models of Fashion Month

The results are in! After a full month of back-to-back fashion shows we’ve tallied up the numbers to see which models walked the most runways this season and guess what… we have a tie!

Models Nastya Stern and Manuela Frey, both of whom are assigned to The Society modeling agency, took home the gold this season, each walking in a total of 63 shows from New York to Paris.  Unsurprisingly, the girls walked in a number of the same shows, including Michel Kors, J.W Anderson, Dolce & Gabbana and Acne, while also having their fair share of standout moments.  Nastya for one, had the honor of opening four headlining shows this year, as well as closing Chanel, while Manuela scored four opening slots and closed two.

Coming in at number two was fellow Society superstar and last year’s second ranked catwalker, Josephine Le Tutour, who walked a total of 60 shows this season, despite skipping London Fashion Week all-together.  The French model put in notable appearances at Jason Wu, Ralph Lauren, Gucci, Christian Dior and Givenchy, and also had the honor of opening the Costume National show in Milan.  Wilhelmina model Elisabeth Erm also landed 60 shows this season, including Chanel, Giorgio Armani, and Marc Jacobs, while Serbian model Milla “Mijo” Mihaljcic (IMG) rounded out the top three, walking in a total of 58 shows.

Go Inside Karlie Kloss’ $2 Million Townhouse

At just 21-years-old, Karlie Kloss has already accomplished more than the average young adult.  She’s walked runway shows in every major fashion capitol, scored a Victoria’s Secret contract and launched her own line of fashionable denim.  And if that weren’t enough, her $2 million New York pad has already been given Vogue’s seal of approval!

Switching things up for the magazine’s March issue, Karlie takes a break from her usual fashion and beauty editorials to give the glossy the full inside look at her stunning new abode!  Located in the West Village just blocks off the Hudson River, the supermodel’s townhouse is exactly what you would expect to see from the fashion darling: equal parts chic, feminine and timeless.

With the help of interior design guru Nate Berkus, Karlie sent out to transform the townhouse she purchased a year prior, into the ultimate supermodel starter home. “I wanted to mix and match the same way I do with fashion—wearing, say, a beautiful Saint Laurent tailored blazer with an H&M T-shirt,” said Karlie of her home aesthetic.  That approach led Karlie to pair high-end feather wallpaper from Lee Jofa with iron hooks from Anthropologie, a waterfall-style console from Made Goods, and drapes from Restoration Hardware.

Unsurprisingly, Karlie admits her favorite room by far is the kitchen, where we like to imagine she spends her free time whipping up fresh batches of Karlie’s Kookies— perhaps with the help of her BFF Taylor Swift.  She also admits to having a “shove-everything0-in-there-and-close-the-door” room, which makes her love her even more— it that’s even possible.

Head to Vogue.com to get the full look at Karlie’s stunning pad— it may be your only shot of ever going home with a real Victoria’s Secret Angel!

Edie Campbell Got a New Glossy Gig

In the last few years, we’ve grown accustomed to seeing Edie Campabell‘s ubiquitous face popping up on the cover of LOVE Magazine, but now it appears that the British model is trading in her cover spot for a place on the glossy’s official masthead!

On Thursday, stylist and editor in chief of the biannual magazine, Katie Grand, took to Twitter to announced a series of new hires, including Edie as its new senior contributing editor.  “She’s a beautiful writer and I’m thrilled she is coming to write for us,” said Grand of Edie’s appointment. “She’s extremely intelligent and educated and will thus be a brilliant addition.”

The 2013 Model of the Year recipient now joins a growing list of top models making the transition into the literary world, signaling perhaps a trend among those catwalkers not interested in hitting the big screen.  Anja Rubik was the first to initiate  the trend, when she founded and became editor of 25 magazine in 2012.  The following yearCoco Rocha became a contributing editor at PC Magazine, where she launched a reoccurring column discussing the worlds of fashion and technology. And who could forget Kate Moss‘ appointment to contributing fashion editor at Vogue UK, where she saw the release of her first editorial starring supermodel Daria Werbowy this past month.  It’s just all the more proof that a model can be both incredibly beautiful, and super smart!

We’ll be looking forward to catching Edie’s literary debut when the new LOVE issue hits the stands.  Until then, we’ll kick back with this video of one of Edie’s more famous LOVE magazine moments:

Look of the Week: The Alves Women Win Big at the Oscars

The Oscars are hailed as Hollywood’s most glamourous night, so it comes as no surprise that the celebrities bring out their fashion A-game on the red carpet.  Still, there can only be one who walks away with the best-dressed crown, unless of course you call it a tie, as we’ve done today.  Torn between two very beautiful and very different Oscar looks, we had no choice but to award both Camila and Michelle Alves with today’s Look of the Week title, as nobody did it quite like these Brazilian bombshells!

There to support her husband Matthew McConaughey, who walked away with that night’s Best Actor Award, Camila channeled her inner classic sophisticate on the red carpet, stepping out in a breathtaking pale pink Gabriela Cadena gown that draped perfectly over one shoulder.  Like that of a modern day Grace Kelly, the model and designer radiated elegance and natural beauty, pairing the regal look with a matching clutch, sparkling Lorraine Schwartz gold earrings and a fresh face.

As for Michelle, the model and mother of four was able to have a bit more fun with her Oscars look.  Arriving on the arm of her husband Guy Oseary and joined by the members of U2, Michelle stunned in a dazzling black Christian Dior dress featuring a dramatic high-low hemline.  Paired with beautiful Ana Khouri jewels and matching color-blocked pumps, Michelle’s look was classic, but with a modern twist— a winning combo in our book!

Different though these looks may be, the Alves women struck gold with these dramatic red carpet looks, and are no doubt deserving of today’s best-dressed crown!

Emily Ratajkowski Joins the Cast of Entourage

There are no “Blurred Lines” about it— Emily Ratajkowski is set to become Hollywood’s next big model/actress!

Having already scored a role in the upcoming David Fincher adaptation of Gillian Flynn’s best seller Gone Girl, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Rookie confirmed via Twitter this week that she’s also snagged a role in the forthcoming (and highly anticipated) Entourage movie!  According to the latest reports, the all-American model will play herself set against a bevy of other actors who will be reprising their roles on the big screen, including Kevin Connolly, Adrian Grenier, Jeremy Piven and Emmanuelle Chriqui.

And, seeing as this is an Entourage movie, it comes as no surprise that Emily is only one of several models making a cameo appearance!  Fellow SI Swimsuit stunner Nina Agdal is said to have already filmed her scenes for the film, while rumors continue to suggest that Kate Upton has also scored a role in the HBO flick, playing what exactly we’re still unsure.  If we had to bet though, we’d say a skimpy bikini is most definitely involved. Meanwhile, the film’s other guest stars are said to include Billy Bob Thornton, Kid Cudi, Liam Neesons and Haley Joel Osment.

Sadly we’ll have to wait until June 2015 to find out what these beautiful models have in store for us.  Until then, there’s always the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue to keep us entertained!
