Shop Her Style: How to Get Liu Wen’s Sleek Off-Duty Staples

Liu Wen isn’t just a bona fide supermodel and red carpet regular; she’s also a serious street-style star.  The Chinese stunner with the big friendly smile is a fan of the minimal, often shunning bold colors and over-the-top looks for clean monochrome ensembles anchored with great accessories. Throughout fashion week, she could be seen jetting between shows in polished flats paired with skinny jeans and a structured handbag or, our favorite, an oversized menswear blazer.  Her style is simple, effortless, and easily re-created with items that you may already own— not that that should stop you from shopping this season’s newest street style staples though.  Click through the slideshow below for some of our editor’s favorite Liu-inspired pieces that you’ll want to wear all season long.

Cindy Crawford Reveals the Secrets Behind Her Ageless Beauty (And the Answers May Surprise You!)

We’re not sure what it is about the ’90s supermodels, but those women simply do not age.  Especially Cindy Crawford!  The glamazon looks better than ever as the star of a sexy, Helmut Newton-inspired photo shoot for The Violet Files, in which she reveals everything we’ve ever wanted to know about aging, beauty and what it was really like back in the models’s ’90s heyday.

“The secret is that there is no secret,” she says when it comes to aging. “Do all the stuff we know: Don’t smoke, get enough sleep, drink plenty of water, find what makes you happy.”

Of course, that’s not to say that the legendary cover girl doesn’t have a few beauty tricks up her sleeve.  ”I use SPF day cream every day, cleanser every day and night.,” says Cindy of her diligent skincare routine.  ”I definitely use the night cream, eye cream and the Crème de Serum from my line. What I think is true is that [results are] cumulative. When a 35-year-old starts taking care of her skin, she won’t look different. It’s when you’re my age that you start seeing the payoff.”  Read the rest of this entry »

The Victoria’s Secret Angels Get a Haute Makeover for British Vogue

We may be more used to seeing them in lingerie, but for the November issue of British Vogue, the Victoria’s Secret models are going where few Angels have ever gone before: into the world of couture.

In anticipation of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show’s move across the pond this December, Vogue‘s Kate Phelan and photographer Patrick Demarchelier are shining a new light on the Victoria’s Secret Angels we all know and love with a little help from Dolce & Gabbana’s Alta Moda collection (you know, the one the duo showed on a private island in Capri).  Draped in billowy striped skirts of varying colors, Adriana Lima, Lais Ribeiro, Cara Delevingne, Elsa Hosk and Lily Aldridge are stripping down, but in an entirely different way.

“For British Vogue today, it’s a totally different feeling; it’s very raw,” says Candice of the shoot. “I think it’s good for people to see us in a different way.”

In addition to the iconic images, the glossy is also taking readers behind-the-scenes of the Angel’s shoot, revealing an up-close look at the one-of-a-kind pieces and the models themselves. From Adriana’s shocking revelation that she too has “bad skin days” (yeah, we’ll believe that when we see it) to Lily’s Playboy confession, discover how well you know your Victoria’s Secret Angels in the video below.  And don’t miss the heavenly couture spread in November issue now available on newsstands and for digital download.
