Pretty St. Patrick’s Day Beauty Looks Pulled Straight From the Runway

If there’s one thing a fashion lover never misses, it’s the opportunity to dress up in theme.  That said, this weekend we’re prepared to get our green on in honor of St. Patrick’s Day, embracing the holiday spirit in everything from our attire to our beauty look. Yes, really!  While green makeup may conjure up thoughts of wicked witches and Cirque du’Soleil performers, the Fall 2014 runway reassured us that green makeup is actually quite chic when done correctly.  From Christian Dior’s smokey khaki green eyes, to the matching grunge green eye and  nail looks at Antonio Berardi, there was no shortage of emerald beauty this season— a welcome coincidence for those gearing up for the Irish-themed festivities ahead.  So whether you’re looking to go full throttle this St. Patty’s Day, or just in the mood to embrace one of this season’s hottest trends, do yourself a favor and scroll through our selection of Fashion Month’s prettiest emerald green beauty looks below!

Charlotte Moss Just Scored Her First “Proper Job”

If a legit modeling contract and a front-row debut at London Fashion Week haven’t yet convinced you of Charlotte (aka Lottie) Moss‘ supermodel potentional, consider this: the 16-year-old just scored her first Vogue gig!

“Mini Moss” as the British media has so aptly christened her, is making her glossy American debut this month as the star of a new April Teen Vogue feature shot by photographer Sean Thomas in Kate’s native London.  Calling it her “first proper job,” the spread features Lottie traipsing around the famous fashion capitol in the likes of Alexander McQueen, Chanel and Toshop— the latter of which she admits is favorite among her and her friends.

Since being inadvertently discovered at Kate’s 2011 wedding when she was then just 13-years-old, media attention in Lottie has swelled, and rightfully so!  Yet, despite the fact that she’s just booked a major Vogue gig, and is likely the next heir to the Moss throne, Lottie’s feet remain firmly on the ground.  Speaking to Teen Vogue‘s Jane Keltner de Vallle in an accompanying interview, the young model admits that while she believes at five-foot-five she’s too short for runway (Kate is five-foot-seven for your reference), she would love to work with Mario Testino and, perhaps more surprisingly, eventually segue into fashion journalism.

Joan Smalls Transforms Into Our Favorite Disney Princesses

Disney should be warned: there’s a NEW princess in town!

Though already considered fashion royalty by most standards, supermodel Joan Smalls solidifies her status this month as the star of yet another one of Carine Roitfeld’s breath-taking CR Fashion Book fairytales.  Appearing in the magazine’s latest Spring 2014 issue, Joan joins one of Hollywood’s newest leading men, actor Michael B. Jordan, in an epic three-part fashion story created by Oscar-nominated producer, director and writer, Lee Daniels.

Titled “Lee Daniels’ Fairy Tale Theater: One Girl’s Nightmare in Three Acts,” the editorial twists three of the world’s most beloved fables— Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella— into a high-fashion escapade taking place on the mean streets of New York.  Although the editorial marks Daniels’ first steps into the world of fashion— he’s better known for his work on such films as Precious, Monster Ball and most recently, The Butler— the director weaves a romantic tale featuring designer looks that are most certainly fit for a queen.

We suppose that one girl’s nightmare can very well be our own high-fashion dream!  You can catch a more of Joan and her Prince Charming in the sneak peek below, and don’t miss the full spread in the new issue of CR Fashion Book, now available on newsstands!

Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne Team Up in Burberry’s Newest Fragrance Campaign!

Since taking the modeling scene by storm in 2011, Cara Delevingne has been compared to fellow British model Kate Moss in just about every way possible.  The two supermodels share an affinity for fashion week parties and music festivals, have appeared on shared LOVE magazine covers together, and have even walked in the same runway show.  Yet, believe it or not, these British beauties have never actually shared an editorial or a campaign together—until now!

Earlier this morning, Cara announced via Instagram that both her and Kate have been tapped as the faces of Burberry’s latest and yet-unnamed women’s fragrance shot by Mario Testino.  The scent will not be released until the fall, but thankfully, Cara has already teased us with a behind-the-scenes image of her posing cheek-to-cheek with the great Kate.

“So excited to be doing a new fragrance for @burberry with the beautiful Miss Moss,’ she posted. ‘Shot by @mariotestino watch this space… #katemoss.”

Both have previously worked with the British heritage brand on numerous occasions, although over a decade apart.  Kate appeared in her first Burberry campaign in 1999, scoring numerous campaigns after that, including the Burberry Brit fragrance adverts.  Meanwhile, Cara has been able to credit Burberry with providing her first big break into the world of fashion when chief creative officer Christopher Bailey picked her to star in the Spring/Summer 2011 Burberry Prorsum campaign alongside Eddie Redmayne.  She later became the face of the brand’s Body Tender Fragrance.

Further details about the campaign have yet to be unveiled, but judging this stunning sneak peek, we feel confident in saying that this is going to be one for the ages!
