Shop the Look: Kendall Jenner Goes Stylishly Incognito in Milan

Despite her ‘haters‘ wishes, Kendall Jenner is keeping busier than ever this season.  The reality star-turned-model has walked in a total of nine runway shows thus far— a number that is only likely to grow this week with the arrival of the Paris collections.  But, while she’s clearly killing it on the catwalk, it’s her off-duty game we’re eyeing most as of late.

After leading the model stampede in Dolce & Gabbana’s spring/summer ’15 show on Sunday, Kendall was spotted out in Milan looking catwalk-friendly in a casual ensemble perfectly suited for the first days of fall.  Sticking to a neutral palette of black, white, and beige, Kendall’s ‘under-the-radar’ outfit was far from cutting-edge, but in adding a cute trilby and oversize shades, she took the look from mundane to runway-ready. A miniature cross-body bag and chunky heel boots lend a tough edge to the feminine Topshop fur gilet, while the relaxed white tee and Fendi fur key-charm added an air of effortless cool.

Model/Blogger Keir Alexa Shares an Exclusive Look at Russell James’ “Angels”

There aren’t many men who can say they spend their working days with the most beautiful women in the world. But Russell James can—and he has the Instagram photos to prove it.

The Australian-born fashion photographer is best known for his work with Victoria’s Secret, who first tapped the lensman to shoot its glossy campaign images and catalogs back in 1997.  Now, nearly two decades later James is drawing inspiration from his professional relationship with some of the brand’s most iconic faces—the Victoria’s Secret Angels—as the basis of his fifth internationally published book aptly titled, “Angels.”

The 304-page coffee table tome, which pays tribute to the beauty of the female form, features a number of the world’s top models, many of whom he met through his work with the lingerie giant – including Lily Aldridge, Candice Swanepoel, Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosio - but also a few he didn’t, like newcomer Kendall Jenner and Rihanna.  Shot in black and white, the tasteful photographs offer a unique look at the world’s most beautiful women in their most vulnerable state, the results of which are stunning to say the least.

Ahead of the book’s launch this month, we caught up with another one of James’ subjects and close friend, model/blogger Keir Alexa, who sat down with the photographer to discuss the inspiration behind “Angels,” the criteria he set out in selecting his models, and his trick to dealing with the “500 pound naked gorilla in the room” (i.e. shooting models in their birthday suits).  Read on for Keir’s one-on-one exclusive interview with Victoria’s Secret’s go-to lensman, as well as a behind-the-scenes look at Keir’s glamorous night of celebrating with James at the “Angels” Book Launch Party.

The Models Share the Secrets to Their Runway-Ready Skin

If you’ve ever been anywhere near the backstage set-ups at fashion week then you’re well aware that things tend to get a little chaotic in those final hours leading up to a show. Layers of makeup are simultaneously being stripped away and reapplied, in some cases sweat is slowly making its way to the surface, and all the while you’re surviving on just a couple hours of sleep.   And yet, while that kind of stress would wreck havoc on our temperamental skin—there’s not enough cover up in the world at that point—the models always come out looking even-toned and blemish free.  Sure, a lot of that has to do with superior genetics, but even a supermodel’s DNA can’t fight breakouts and dark circles without a little help from the beauty counter.  But just what are these secret products behind the models’s forever flawless skin?  We recently caught up with some of our favorite models backstage at New York Fashion Week to get the scoop on their pre-runway skincare regimens and to learn just how they’re able to keep their skin looking SO good. Uncover the beauty secrets behind fashion’s most beautiful women including Lara Stone, Lily Aldridge, Cameron Russell and more in the slideshow below!
