Naomi Campbell Plays Femme Fatale for Agent Provocateur’s Scandalous Spring ’15 Campaign

As the living proof that age has no bearing when it comes to beauty and sex appeal, Naomi Campbell has been enjoying something of a career renaissance as of late.  After debuting Burberry’s spring ads, in which she stars alongside Jourdan Dunn, earlier this week, the 44-year-old supermodel has been revealed as the face of Agent Provocateur‘s latest campaign, and make no mistake about it, the images are HOT!

As the leading lady for the lingerie line’s spring/summer 2015 ‘Wanted Badly’ ads, shot by Ellen von Unwerth, Naomi turns femme fatale to commit the perfect crime in the ‘most devastatingly sensual pieces’ (shovel, gloves and getaway car included). Inspired by David Lynch’s The Lost Highway and Brian de Palma’s glamorous and murderous thriller Body Double, the campaign plays up the collection’s 1960s ‘girl gangs’ vibe, which the seductive Ms. Campbell plays up to a “T.”

“When casting for spring/summer 2015, we knew that we wanted to work with a powerful all-female team to complement the campaign inspiration,” Agent Provocateur’s creative director, Sarah Shotton, explains in a press release. “Naomi and Ellen were perfect for this as they both have such strong, individual personalities that work very well together.” Shotton says Campbell in particular was perfect for the campaign’s story: “Naomi is the ultimate Agent Provocateur woman: witty, gorgeous and confident. She is a natural femme fatale.”

Playing bad has seriously never looked so good!

Marc Jacobs Enlists Kendall Jenner, Adriana Lima, Anja Rubik and More for Spring ’15 Campaign

Over the years, Marc Jacobs has developed his own identifiable campaign aesthetic: take 1-2 up-and-coming models, throw them against a stark background, add a couple quirky (or sometime downright eerie) props and let Juergen Teller do what he does best.  But for spring/summer 2015, is appears that Jacobs is taking his namesake brand into a different direction by tapping an army of supermodels to front the collection’s accompanying campaign.

Picking up where the brand’s New York Fashion show left off, models Anja Rubik, Karlie Kloss, Adriana Lima, Joan Smalls, Kendall Jenner, Natasha Poly, Anna Ewers, Aya Jones and Jessica Stam star in both close-up and full-length portraits which see them wearing Jacobs’ military uniform-inspired spring looks, WWD reports  Shot by photographer David Sims, the models are once again barely recognizable as they pose in the same bare-faced makeup look and shaggy black wigs spotted on the runway back in September.

Going off the casting alone, we’re betting this is likely to be one of the biggest and hardest to top campaigns of the season (kudos Grand!). And while today’s news only brings us a teaser image of Anja Rubik in her army green uniform, we won’t have to wait long to catch the rest of the model brigade in action as the full campaign is slated to debut in the January issues of leading fashion magazines. Merry Christmas, indeed!

Naomi Campbell and Jourdan Dunn Cozy Up for Burberry’s Latest Campaign

It was just this past September when Burberry released its new ‘My Burberry’ fragrance campaign starring supermodels Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne in their first ever photo shoot.  Now, just when we thought Burberry couldn’t top its model dream team, the British label has gone ahead and released its latest campaign starring those other “two great British icons:” Naomi Campbell and Jourdan Dunn.

Shot in London by longtime Burberry collaborator, Mario Testino, Naomi and Jourdan star in the new spring/summer ’15 ads, which as it tuns out, mark a number of firsts for both the brand and its models.  For starters, the campaign not only celebrates Naomi’s first appearance for the brand since 2001 (she was then joined by her pal Kate), but it also marks her first time teaming up with Jourdan.  This is also the first time the fashion house has exclusively cast black models in a campaign — a major feat in the ongoing struggle for increased diversity in fashionRead the rest of this entry »
