AnOther Magazine Agrees: One Kate Moss Cover is NEVER Enough!

If there is one thing we know to be true in this world, it’s that one can never really get enough Kate Moss— a sentiment AnOther magazine appears to be on board with if its latest issue is any indication.

Hot on the heels of her new My Burberry fragrance campaign, the supermodel has been tapped as the sole star of the magazine’s new fall 2014 issue, which features four separate covers, each one shot and styled by a different team: namely Willy Vanderperre and Olivier Rizzo, Collier Schorr and Katy England, Craig McDean and Olivier Rizzo, Alasdair Mclellan and Alister Mackie.  Much like the image-makers behind-the-scenes, each of the four covers comes complete with its own vision of Kate with themes ranging from Hollywood to Warhol.  There’s even an online-only cover that was created in partnership with Burberry will be released on Wednesday.

AnOther posted a preview of the issue on its website on Tuesday, with an excerpt from the editor’s letter by Jefferson Hack, who just so happens to be the father of Moss’s daughter, Lila Grace.  In the letter, Hack refers to Kate as “our generation’s most significant fashion icon,” adding: ”She changed the history of fashion by breaking the rules as a model, channelling the ‘don’t give a fuck’ attitude of the noughties into a powerful signature stance of defiance… She did it without a script, without a plan, and seemingly without a care.”

The fall edition of Another, which boasts the most covers Kate has ever done for a single issue, is meant to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of her first unforgettable shoot for AnOther, shot by Craig McDean wearing Alexander McQueen in the Hollywood Hills.

The new issue hits newsstands on September 4, but you can get a sneak peek at Kate’s cover quartet after the jump!

Cara Delevingne and Kate Moss’s First Campaign is HERE!

Since taking the modeling scene by storm in 2011, Cara Delevingne has been compared to fellow British model Kate Moss in just about every way possible.  The two supermodels share an affinity for fashion week parties and music festivals, have appeared on shared LOVE magazine covers together, and have even walked in the same runway show.  Yet, believe it or not, these British beauties have never actually shared an editorial or a campaign together—until now!

As previously reported back in March, the fashion icon and 22-year-old supermodel have been cast as the dual stars of Burberry’s new ‘My Burberry’ fragrance campaign, the first images of which we’re getting a sneak peek at today.  Shot by Mario Testino, the stripped down black-and-white portraits mark the first time the “It” Brits have been shot together— not that you could tell of course, just looking at the intimate behind-the-scenes photos, in which the two appear to be the best of pals while wearing little more than their matching Burberry trench coats.  In one photo in particular, the two supers can even be seen cozying up to one another as they take shelter from the rain.  Oh, and did we mention they are also completely naked?

New York Fashion Week may look like all fun and games to those on the outside, but for designers it can be one of the hardest times of the year; not to mention the most expensive.  From lighting fixtures to sound equipment and camera operators, you won’t believe how much it’s costing designers to produce your favorite shows this season! ~ Racked

Ouch! Caroline Herrera has a few choice words when it comes to describing style on the streets of New York: namely  ”horrendous,” “badly dressed,” and “really, really bad.” And it appears that there is one offending item in particular that the legendary designer objects to.  Can you guess what it is? ~ Vogue UK

Goodbye Summer, Hello September Covers!

Well, Labor Day is over which only means one thing – September is upon us, and with that comes the most revered month in the model world. We can’t remember a September that we’ve been more excited about, and it’s all thanks to the fabulous magazine covers that have been making their ways to the newsstands. When talking September Issue covers this year, of course you can’t miss Cara Delevingne, who scored not one, but three Vogue covers! The 22-year-old supermodel was among the lucky trio chosen to grace American Vogue’s #InstaGirls in addition to a polished and feminine solo cover for Vogue Japan and a sixties-inspired cover for British Vogue. While ONE September Issue cover is noteworthy enough, it’s safe to say that the Cara craze is still going strong! Read the rest of this entry »

Charlotte Tilbury Supermodel-Inspired Makeup Collection is Coming to the US!

We’ve been plotting ways to get our hands on Charlotte Tilbury’s new beauty line for what feels likes ages now, but on September 2, the wait is finally over!

Following the successful launch of her eponymous collection in the U.K. last year, Tilbury — who is widely considered one of the biggest makeup artists in the world and counts Kate Moss, Gisele Bündchen, Cara Delevingne and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley among her devoted celebrity clients— is finally set to bring her coveted products stateside — all 25 of them!

“Beauty is not an exclusive club – there are no unattractive women, just some that don’t know the power of make-up,” says Charlotte Tilbury in the press release. “I was shocked to find out that 50% of women do not engage with make-up and the reasons are: they don’t know how to use it, they don’t know what suits them, they don’t have the time. I wanted to revolutionize the retail experience for these women. Even as a professional makeup artist, I walk onto the Beauty Hall floor and want to run in the opposite direction.  There’s so much choice and so little direction, help and problem-solving and I wanted to set my brand apart from this.”
