Fellas, Listen Up: Karlie Kloss and Candice Swanepoel Have Some Valentine’s Day Shopping Advice for You

Let’s face it— Victoria’s Secret basically owns Valentine’s Day. So, it’s only fitting that the lingerie giant should commemorate the holiday (a.k.a Bombshell Day) with two of its most beloved Angels.

Dressed in their red hot Valentine’s Day looks, Candice Swanepoel and Karlie Kloss decended upon the brand’s Herald Square flagship on Tuesday to share their sexy holiday gift picks and, for the fellas, some tips on finding the perfect gift, or better yet, gifts.

I think the best advice is to get a little bit of everything—that way you’re really spoiling her,” said Candice.  ”You can get a box of chocolates, some flowers, a perfume and a nice piece of lingerie and I think that’s great!”

” What I would tell my boyfriend is to find something that he thinks would make me feel the most confident,” said Karlie, who is currently dating her boyfriend of over a year, Joshua Kushner.  ”I think that’s the thing about lingerie, obviously it’s very beautiful to look at, but it also changes how you feel.  Good lingerie, beautiful lingerie, and even a nice fragrance, it changes the way you hold yourself and makes you feel sexy.  To the guys, I would say, look for something that would make your loved one feel sexy and confident.”

The all-American model certainly had the look of love about her as she flaunted his runway-ready figure in a scarlet Talbot Runhof mini shift dress, black T-strap heels and gold accessories while blowing kisses to the camera.  When asked about her Valentine’s Day wish list this year, Karlie admitted that she’s loving the new Victoria’s Secret Forbidden Fragrance, which is an easy gift that any woman could appreciate.

Well, the secret is out!  Emily Ratajkowski has gone from “Blurred Lines” model, to up-and-coming movie star and now, an official Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model!

In anticipation of the franchise’s buzzed-about 50th anniversary issue , Sports Illustrated confirmed today that the gorgeous brunette model will in fact appear in this year’s issue, joining Sara Sampaio and Gigi Hadid as part of the 2014 rookie class!  In honor of the big news, Emily posted the photo below on Twitter along with the caption:

“How’d you all recognize my bum so well? THE WORD IS OFFICIALLY OUT! So excited and honored to be a rookie in @SI_swimsuit 50th anniversary issue! Thank you @mj_day @ja_neyney @walteriooss Can’t wait for Feb 18 when the issue will hit stands!

As previously reported, this is far from Emily’s first brush with the magazine.  In 2013, the viral video star sat down with the SI Swim team at a casting call during which she named being in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit as an item on her bucket list.  When asked about posing for the magazine Emily remarked, “I think there’s a wonderful tradition. This year is the anniversary issue. It would be an honor to be included in that history of supermodels.”

Congrats Emily!  And don’t miss the rookie’s full spread in the 2014 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 50th anniversary issue on newsstands Feb. 18!

NYFW: Street Style Predictions

New York Fashion Week is just around the corner and while we are highly anticipating all the fresh faces, surprise supermodel appearances and the new collections we will see on the catwalk, there is no denying our excitement for what will occur outside the shows. The street style circus with its swarm of photographers, impromptu photoshoots, and selfie-snapping bloggers, has become a mainstay of fashion week. We just have to know “What are they wearing?”

While we can’t predict the future with snowstorms scheduled to hit NYC and temperatures well-below freezing, you can bet that fashion week attendees will be bundled from head to toe. Staying warm is the name of the game and quilted jackets, shearling toppers, and furs of all shapes and colors will be out in full effect. Models will rely on their beloved Dr. Martens to trudge through the slush, and you know we will see Cara Delevingne in some brightly colored beanies and sweatshirts to boot. Expect star editors to sport coveted fresh-off-the-runway looks and on-trend accessories, like these floral printed Givenchy boots. If we’ve learned anything from the past it’s that sportswear is here to stay, and we foresee even the most stiletto- obsessed opting for their Valentino sneakers and track pants. Stay tuned to our street style coverage of NYFW and see if our predictions were on-point. And if you have your sights set on getting your picture snapped this year, be sure to shop the story to get your statement-making look!
