Is it just us, or did does time fly when it’s fashion week? With just one day of shows left, we’re cramming in enough model street style to hold you over until February hits. After making an epic return to the runway at Hugo Boss’ spring ’15 show on Wednesday, Abbey Lee Kershaw kept things relaxed and sporty in a bright pink Adidas sports bra paired with a track jacket, high-waisted trousers and black leather boots. Kim Sund and Soo Joo Park reveled in the summer sunshine, sporting colorful oversized Jeremy Scott tote bags that paired perfectly with Soo Joo’s tangerine shirt dress and wide-brimmed hat.  Meanwhile, Sara Sampaio found balance by mixing ripped boyfriend jeans, a flouncy crop top and sharp red leather biker jacket.  And finally, who could resist Ji Hye Park’s modern take on school-girl overalls and Tevas?

Get the Beauty Look: Tory Burch Stays Rosy

When Tory Burch sent her Spring RTW collection down the runway yesterday, the centerpiece of the collection was an interpretation  of la parisienne boheme – think pulled-together casual with lots of texture and color.  Every piece had something going on, be it jacquards, engineered prints, basket weaves – and often in combination.  While there was much going on with what the models were wearing, the beauty look was decidedly different!  Read the rest of this entry »

On the Scene: Music and Style Collide at Fashion Rocks and Galore

The worlds of fashion and music collided last night at the Ryan Seacrest-hosted global charity fundraiser event, Fashion Rocks, held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.  With live musical performances  by Usher, Rita Ora, Jennifer Lopez and Nicki Minaj, spectacular runway shows and surprise celebrity appearances, the New York Fashion Week event turned out to be one of the biggest star-studded events of the season.  And like any fashion week event, it wasn’t without a bevy of runway-ready supermodels.

Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Rookie of the Year, Sara Sampaio, was one of the first to arrive on the red carpet outside the Barclays center alongside model/blogger Emma Jane Menteath.  The Portuguese stunner, who walked in Jeremy Scott show this afternoon, impressed in what she described as a “last minute look” considting of some vintage pieces chosen by her stylist Sasha Benz and an Alexander McQueen clutch.   Further along the carpet, Victoria’s Secret Angel Lily Aldridge stunned in a zebra print crop top and a sharp skirt-pant hybrid by Sally LaPointe, a Bliss Lau body chain and jewelry by Jennifer Fisher and Maiyet. Anne also opted for well-tailored pants on the red carpet, stepping out in wide-leg style paired with a dramatic tuxedo shirt featuring a long train by RK Designs and jewelry by Rona Pfeiffer.  Meanwhile, Joan Smalls showed off her ruwnay-ready legs in a printed Fausto Puglisi dress and Giuseppe Zanotti shoes, while Naomi Campbell brought the glamour in a white floor-length Versace gown.
