Get the Beauty Look: Master Alexander Wang’s Slick, Sporty Summer Beauty Look

The humidity outside seemed almost too perfect in light of the looks being created backstage at Alexander Wang on Saturday.

“He wanted to keep an athletic, boyish feel to the makeup,” said Diane Kendal, working with Nars Cosmetics. This season, the makeup artist kept the makeup “strong and energetic,” focusing on clean, moisturized skin paired with accentuated highlighting and contouring to bring out the strength of the girl’s features.”

To start, Kendal evened out the skin tone with NARSSkin Luminous Moisture Cream, Radiant Creamy Concealer and Sheer Glow Foundation for a dewy texture.  She then bleached each model’s eyebrows and brought them back up to blend into each girl’s natural skin tone.  Next, Kendal applied Larger Than Life Long-Wear Eyeliner in Via Appia to the lashes followed by a swipe of creamy gold shimmer on the lids, which she extended out.  On top of that, she layered Cappadoce Matte Multiple with South Beach Multiple and applied it underneath and on top of the cheekbones, the center of the nose and the top of the eyebrows for definition.  The look was then topped off with a coat of sheer lip balm.

On the Scene: Kendall Jenner and Crew Attend Alexander Wang’s Top-Secret Brooklyn Bash

*Image via: Instagram/bellahadid

Alexander Wang is something of a legend when it comes to fashion week after parties — he’s hosted a frat party on at the piers, a Courtney Love concert at a gas station and a carnival on the West Side Highway in season’s past.  He’s also a huge fan of surprises, evidence of which we’re now just beginning to realize in the wake of his latest top-secret post-show rave.

Yes, despite rumors that suggested otherwise, the fashion wonderkund did in fact host an exclusive after party at a warehouse in Bushwick following his spring/summer 2015 show on Saturday night.  Among the known VIPs in attendance this year were celebrity scions-turned-models Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid, and Hailey Baldwin, as well as a very scantily clad Miley Cyrus — for the record, those are in fact pasties she is wearing.

Once again, Wang partnered with his friends at Club Shade — an underground dance party hosted by Ladyfag — to throw the rave-style party, which featured a performance by Tyga, who was spotted in the front row at the designer’s show early that day.

While few photos have emerged from the Brooklyn bash, it’s clear that Wang hasn’t lost an ounce of his touch.  See for yourself in the behind-the-scenes photos below.

Get the Beauty Look: Wes Gordon Masters Fresh, Dewy Skin and Muted Nail Art

To compliment Wes Gordon’s soft, minimalist spring/summer 2015 collection, Maybelline makeup artist Carole Colombani put the focus on fresh, dewy skin and thick, full brows.  To start, Colombani applied a light layer of foundation followed by touches of Maybelline’s Master Glaze Glisten Blush Stick applied to areas on the face that the light naturally touches to help enhance the model’s naturally radiant skin.  When it came to brows, she called for “soft boyish brows.” Colombani skipped eyeshadow to keep the attention on the brows and filled them using pencil and Maybelline BROWdrama for texture.
