Gisele is Named the New Face of H&M!

The dust hasn’t even cleared from the spectacular, bikini-clad ad-cum-music video that was Beyonce’s H&M swimwear campaign and already the Swedish retailer is unveiling its next superstar matchup starring none other than Gisele Bündchen!

It was announced via Twitter today that the Brazilian supermodel and all-around hot mama has been selected as the face of the fast-fashion giant’s Fall/Winter 2013 campaign.  While images from the final campaign have yet to be released, the brand has revealed a behind-the-scenes preview of what’s to come, showing a smiling— not to mention, radiant, glowing and insanely gorgeous— Gisele wearing a black coat and looking over her shoulder back at the camera.

Gisele followed up by posting a teaser photo of her own on Instagram soon after H&M’s tweet with the caption, “Beautiful sunshine in London : ) Lindo dia de sol em Londres : )”

Of course, this isn’t the first time that the super has worked with the brand.  In the past, Gisele has appeared in its Spring/Summer 2011 campaign, as well a several swimwear ads— that is, long before Beyonce ever writhed around the sand in one.  These days, Gisele has been busy showing off her lit-from-within, au natural beauty as the face of Chanel’s Les Beige beauty range, saving her bikini work for her numerous family beach vacations.

As the world’s first billionaire model with the internationally recognized face to prove it, Gisele is without a doubt one of the biggest A-list celebrities to partner with the brand to date— not to mention one of our personal favorites!  With a couple of premiere campaigns already under her belt for 2013, Gisele appears to be on the verge of a campaign hot streak of sorts, or in this super’s case, back to business as usual!

April Showers Bring May Covers!

We all know the saying, “April showers bring May flowers”– a phrase that couldn’t be more apparent in this month’s floral-themed covers and spreads.  Set among a backdrop of ethereal white sand, endless beach and clear blue water, Aymeline Valade shines on the cover of Vogue Spain in a bright-blue floral crown and white dress. Harper’s Bazaar UK features Karen Elson in a floral-inspired story entitled “La Vie En Rose.”  Styled by the infamous Leith Clark, the model-singer appears in a romantic-atmosphere with a pink-hued background and a multitude of rose petals descending around her.  And who could forget the beautiful selection of dresses provided by Alexander McQueen and Ralph Lauren.

Summer style continues to blossom with supermodel Naomi Campbell sporting a fresh blonde summer ‘do for Vogue Brazil, while Helena Christensen turns golden goddess for Elle Spain. So far, this batch of glossy fashion magazines has yet to disappoint! And how could it with Erin Wasson channeling her inner high-fashion flower child with over-the-top floral-headpieces and eye-catching wares from the likes of Valentino, Chanel and Elie Saab on the cover of Vogue Netherlands!

Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne Make a Lovely Vogue Pair!

One is considered this season’s most in-demand model, the other, a fashion legend, and this month, British Vogue is turning Cara Delevingne and Kate Moss into the ultimate package deal!

While the veteran supermodel returns as the June cover star of the fashion bible— her 32nd cover for the publication— it is revealed that her up-and-coming mini me Cara covers the inaugural issue of the glossy’s sister edition, Miss Vogue, which will come packaged with the mother issue as it looks to attract a younger readership.

“We hope you enjoy it as much as we have enjoyed working on it,” says Alexandra Shulman in her editor’s letter, which is accompanied by an image of her 15-year-old self. “Vogue magazine appeals to all ages but I wanted to produce an edition targeted at younger readers, created with your lifestyles in mind. As with the mother magazine, the fashion is meant to inspire even if you’re a bit short on cash.”

Previously dubbed ‘the New Kate,’ Cara proves her growing likeliness to the British icon modeling in Miss Vogue‘s preppy-style shoot— one that was reportedly shot mere days after the model returned to London following her marathon month of catwalking at the Fall/Witner 2013 shows. While posing in stripped shorts and a crop top emblazoned with the magazine’s name across her chest, Cara is described by Shulman as “Miss Vogue made physical” and as having a “maverick sense of style and fun.”  Sound familiar?

Meanwhile, Kate is treating us to a ’60s-inspired beach chic spread shot by Patrick Demarchelier.  In one image in particular, Kate appears sitting on top of a yacht, looking out over the water as she models pink hotpants, a crocheted vest top and oversized pink flower earrings. Pair that with her charcoal-rimmed cat-eyes, sexy beach waves and all-white mani, and the supermodel could be Brigitte Bardot reincarnated.

Two British beauties with two gorgeous Vogue covers— could there be a better way to kickoff the summer?  We think not!

Never-Before-Seen Photos of Kate Moss Hit the Auction Block!

Not satisfied with the number of “rarely-seen” photographs of Kate Moss decorating your home?

Not to worry, Moss-fanatics;  you’re in luck!  As part of an upcoming auction by London auctioneer Bloomsbury, two never-before-seen photographs of Kate Moss taken during her first modeling-shoot will be up for grabs next month, starting at an estimated price of £1,200 each, reports The Daily Mail.

Captured by photographer David Ross, the black-and-white images depict the icon as a fresh faced teenager, posing in the photographer’s own black silk shirt as she stares innocently into the camera’s lens.  The “raw portrait pictures” were taken mere days after Storm Agency founder, Sarah Doukas famously discovered the young talent as she was waiting to board a flight to London from New York in 1988. Unknown until now, the latest Moss images were part of a “warm-up role” of pictures Ross took prior to her two other roles that would later be given to Storm and used to help launch the model’s now infamous career.  You might recall that three of those snaps, which Ross had previously described as “more commercial,” hit the auction block in November last year, raising  £5,700.

“I enjoyed photographing her because she had quite angular bones,” described Ross of his first photo shoot with Kate. “She looked so young. But these pictures portray her at the absolute threshold of her life changing forever.”

Despite it being the first time she had ever stood in front of a professional camera, Kate’s potential was evident from the start. “I took three rolls of films,” adds Ross. “The first roll was just to see how Kate responded to the camera and she was a natural. These two pictures are from that roll and they have never been seen by anybody before.”

Now, 25-years later, those images are ready for release and we for one, are desperate to get our hands on these milestone photos, or as we like to think of them, the ultimate Kate collectables!
