As much as we look forward to a whole new year of exciting runway shows, mind-blowing fashion editorials and campaigns galore, there is something to be said about indulging in some end of the year nostalgia. The year was a memorable one both on and off the runway, full of epic supermodel moments, runway returns and a multitude of fresh faces ready to take the modeling world by storm. Needless to say, we had more than enough to gush over at the Modelinia offices. Imagine our delight then when we came across Paris Vogue’s masterful top model retrospective earlier this week including a to-die-for mix of fashion icons and runway newbies. Seriously, this list has it all! From the original queen bees like Stephanie Seymour, Carla Bruni, Christy Turlington and Helena Christensen— all of whom have nabbed a glossy cover or two this past year— to today’s most recent model success stories like Karlie Kloss, Kati Nescher and Toni Garrn, the top model list recognizes a total of fifty-six hard workings models who have all more or less made our year. And while we’re always excited to see Kate Moss and Gisele Bündchen highlighted for their unbeatable talents, we were equally as pleased to see a few lesser known names this time around— namely young models Anais Mali David, Dewi Driegen and Janice Alida.
