Pastel Colored Nail Polish Good Enough to Eat for Easter!

One of the best parts about Easter is the pastel colored candies that inevitably make their way into our stomachs in massive quantities by the end of the weekend. But this year we’re looking to devour pastels in an entirely different way, though we’re sure our candy intake will still be in full force.

Back in September, Louis Vuitton, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Chanel, and Ralph Lauren all sent sweet pastel color palettes down their Spring 2012 runways. And while we have no qualms with dressing up in Easter egg colors this Sunday, we’re looking to take the trend on vis-à-vis our nails. Pastel nail polish is the perfect way to introduce the pretty feminine color trend into your beauty routine without overdoing it. Here are our favorite shades inspired by the best pastel runway looks.

Essie is the popular brand in all salons so getting a look to match Jacquelyn Jablonski hues at Chanel shouldn’t be hard. One of the most popular spring/summer shades is “Turquoise and Caicos,” the island-inspired shade that pairs perfectly with this sea green blazer. If you want to match the pale pink tutu skirt on your toes-stick with the dancing theme and apply Essie’s “Ballet Slippers,” the perfect pretty pink.

Louis Vuitton’s Spring 2012 collection is one of the most memorable when it comes to feminine beauty and lacey frills. To match Anais Pouliot’s coral ensemble we turn to Butter London’s “Trout Pout” - a creamy peach cantaloupe shade from their new LIPPY collection This color company not only makes the best fast drying and chemical free polish, but pairs five of its newest hues with a lip shade in its first try at lip gloss.

Karlie Kloss makes everything look beautiful, especially when she graced the Ralph Lauren runway with her exceptional long legs draped in light blue silk pants paired with a yellow blouse. China Glaze is a nail color company that came on our radar when it released its dark The Hunger Games collection, but the company has some lighthearted shades as well. Turn to the Electro Pop collection to match Karlie’s outfit and go for Kinetic Candy on the toes, and a bright yellow Sunshine Pop on your nails.
