Despite the doom and gloom of impending rain storms, walking into Prada on Thursday evening was a burst of color and pleasure. Supporters including Selita Ebanks, Carol Alt and Hilary Rhoda came together for a cocktail reception celebrating the New Yorkers for Children 2011 Fall Gala at the Prada store uptown. And though she was lamenting the state of her feet due to too many high heels, Selita’s hardly one to turn away from a beautiful pair of shoes. She slipped on a pair of highly enviable Prada wedges for the evening and immediately fell in love. While shoes were on the mind of Selita, Hilary was trying to “get her shop on,” and she did just that. Shortly after making the rounds of the party, Hilary had a Prada shopping bag in hand, while dressed in Prada’s bright striped number from Spring 2011. We suggest you join Hilary in her shopping escapades and snag a bit of Prada for yourself, because through May 27th, the brand is donation a portion of proceeds to New Yorkers for Children, which will benefit youth in foster care in New York City!
