Style bloggers are becoming their own set of celebrity, but it’s important to note just who they study for posing inspiration - the models! The sideways stares, the languid lounging in fields, the leaning against a wall while embracing the curves of a body … it’s all from the pros who star in high fashion editorials.
Now glossies are turning to the street style photography trend, as one of Love’s new editorials in the upcoming magazine features more than a few well-known faces showing off fashion options of the season. But what’s most interesting is the backgrounds. Where fashion stories generally include elaborate locations and decadent settings, Love’s opted for a more realistic, and dare we say it, street style approach to their feature.

Lara Stone, Ana Beatriz Barros, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Alessandra Ambrosio, Eliza Cummings, Anne Vyalitsyna, Alexa Chung, Noémie Lenoir, Devon Aoki, Barbara Palvin, Emily DiDonato, Carmen Kass, Julie Ordon, Tori Praver, Magdalena Frackowiak, and Kirsty Hume star in “Baby It’s You,” and we’re gonna call out the inspiration.

Considering the locations, the poses against city walls, and minimalist approach to props, we can almost see Rumi Neely, Jane Aldridge, and Tavi Gevinson in these shots. It’s an interesting moment, as the idea of modeling has really come full circle. Models inspired street style bloggers, and now models are posing like street style bloggers, who pose like models. It’s like a Zoolander circle.
