About a year ago, Irina Lazareanu gave her fans a little bit of a thrill when she divulged the news that she was working on her very first clothing line! But then came the sad fact that her designs would only be available in Japan. Tears, we know.
Seeing as hopping on a plane to check out the collection is just a tad bit unrealistic, Modelinia - and Irina’s fans on this side of the world - will have to cross their fingers for eBay opportunities, or hopefully an eventual move by the model turned designer into the global market. In the meantime, here’s a first look at her designs - and the inspiration for the collection.
“My own style has no rules and no particular theme,” she explained. “It all comes from old movies, vintage clothes and music that I listen to and like, and each time I portray and coordinate myself as the heroine. At times it has a semblance of rock’n’roll and at times I’m a glamorous sexy girl. Girly style is also my favorite. But in essence, a simple T-shirt and jeans suits me the most…”
