The lovely Poppy Delevigne invited Modelinia to hang out with her at Edris Salon in the Meatpacking District while she prepared for her big evening out. As a great friend of Chanel, she attended the brand’s dinner party at the Odeon for the Tribeca Film Festival. “I’ve been in love with the brand forever, just everything about it. I love wearing their designs,” she said of the house while countless hands were prepping her hair, makeup, and nails. “I work really close alongside the beauty girls,” she said of her work with the department. “They show me their new items and I tell them what I love.”

A love affair was born, and Poppy traveled to attend the fashion show to see the collection in all its glory. “It was this really amazing experience to see the whole thing happen. Karl Lagerfeld is just so theatrical with it. There’s a slide door and he just appears—I was, like, screaming!”
When the time came to prepare for the film festival’s dinner celebration, Poppy visited the archive on Madison, which was like a dream come true. “It’s nice to wear something you haven’t seen before, and I just loved the color. It’s just layers and layers of chiffon and I’m wearing these really modern Chanel shoes that are black. They make the dress look more edgy.” To pair with her ’60s vintage dress, she chose an amazing updo with Essie’s Wicked on her fingernails.

In between wearing Chanel, being a friend of the house, and attending their show, Poppy still has huge beauty dreams to accomplish with the brand. “I would love to be able to design a nail polish color named after me. I would want to do some amazing color, something that’s never been done before, and give it a really fun name.”
